My Nexus 4 is now 2,5 years old and I'm starting to feel that it's time to get a new device. Battery life is very poor and I'm having some problems with the USB port lately. Other than that, it has been the perfect phone for me.
I love to have a (near) stock Android experience and get new updates fast. Also, I'd like to have NFC. The new features on the Nexuses, like Nexus Imprint and USB Type C are really welcome, but not necessary for me. Battery life is very important for me though. I don't need top-notch specs, but everything has to work fast. That given, I found the following options.
Nexus 6P: Seems like the perfect phone for me, but way overpriced in Europe (€650 against $500), and therefore not an option for me right now. I could wait though, until it drops in price.
Nexus 5X: Although it has lower specs than the 6P, the 5X offers pretty much everything I need, but also this phone is way to expensive in Europe. I don't think it's worth €480.
OnePlus One: This phone might be a little older, but still has killer specs for its price (€300). The only thing that bothers me is the slow software updating.
Moto X Play: This phone has the specs that I need, with a killer battery (3630 mAh). The price of €380 is okay I think, but it lacks a gyroscope sensor (so no Photo Spheres) and there are some complaints about the hardware buttons, which hold me back from buying.
Please let me know what you think. Maybe you own one of these devices and you can help me decide. If you can think of another phone that fits my needs, please let me know as well!
