I thoroughly enjoy each music video Lindsey Stirling posts. It's always something creative and energetic, she's a goddess on that violin and dammit, can these people dance!

A nice initiative from Microsoft - personally, I'd like to see this program expand to include more products.

I'd rather go for Linux myself, but I like how they're making it possible to use legal copies of their software for people who might not usually be able to afford it. Affordable software stops piracy, DRM definitely doesn't.
cough EA cough Ubisoft cough

All told, I like it.
Instead of paying full price for Microsoft Office for Mac or Windows, you may be able to buy the full version for just $9.95 if you work for a participating company.

iOS & Android: Nifty app that helps you keep the latest contact information on the people in your address book with minimal to no effort. Free for both platforms.

As long as a person has been linked to you through this app, any changes they make to their contact details will be pushed to your phone. Add a contact and forget about it - no more "is your number still..."

Give it a try, worth it.

It's also available for businesses, so you can instantly update your contact number and push it to clients in case of cable theft or any other lovely event that leaves you unreachable.

+Whitson Gordon +Android Police Useful little thing - if you have the time, go have a look.

Love to see where this goes. The self-destructing handsets sound very Bond-like. If I knew someone who had one, I'd probably end every text I sent them with "This message will self-destruct in ten seconds." for the first few days.
A new generation of privacy-focused smartphones hit the scene at Mobile World Congress (MWC) last month. On the surface, they're all pretty exciting, but do you really need one of them to keep your data safe from prying eyes? Here's what you need to know.

Within Temptation ft Howard Jones from Killswitch.
Album release set for somewhere this month, if memory serves. Rejoice!

The video in this article is just fantastic. Best 7 minutes of my week, so far. Japanese advertising at its best.
A new exoskeleton is being marketed in Japan that claims to be a truly mainstream device that can be used to walk the streets and even crack a few eggs.

SwiftKey is now available for free. It is, without a doubt, the best Android keyboard I've ever used. If you're not using it yet, go check it out.

Users who've paid for it in the past will receive a free $5 theme pack - a nice little touch that really makes me appreciate it all that much more, regardless of whether or not I actually use these themes.

Thanks, +SwiftKey - you guys are absolutely fantastic.
Of the third-party keyboards available on the Google Play Store, SwiftKey is among the oldest and most well-known. And although it's getting its iOS8 app

Still seems to be a paid app on iOS - new release coming up, I think. I suppose the next revenue model in Android for them would be to sign on as many users as they can by providing the app for free, and then relying on a related rise in in-app purchases.

I feel content with this purchase. Now, if only it was delivered somewhere more conveniently located than "A galaxy far, far away" that'd be awesome. Bloody South African Postal Services.

Chapter 9: Closing your Thermal Exhaust Port

"Congratulations on the purchase of your brand new Death Star!"

I guess they never read theirs...

Why does that cover look so much like the SABC's erstwhile closing Transmission Ending image?
