Time to get back on to Google+

Yes, it requires discipline and patience. At first, interaction is key to building a community of people who share your passions. People will circle you if you are alive here, and serious promulgators of knowledge understand the power of this platform. Posts immediately go into the global google database (used by 70-80% of people searching on your curated topics), and your posts become instantly searchable. On Facebook, your posts are lost in a Bing well and constrained algorithms designed purposely to limit your reach so you pay for extended reach.

In addition, on G+, you can use circles as topic storage bins. When you see a post you like, you can share it to a circle (with no people in it). You need to pre-make the circle (in people, your circles). Then when you go to your home page, you can click on that circle (across the top or more) and all articles you filed in that circle will appear in your stream.

And then G+ offers hangouts, hangouts on air, and the collaborative google drive that can be used with these features. OMG. The only advantage that Facebook offers is most people are stuck there, but the most serious people are definitely gravitating here. Anyway, this is my experience.

Surprise -- which brands do we have the highest emotional connection with? --> http://www.forbes.com/sites/gyro/2013/10/29/everything-we-thought-about-b-to-b-marketing-is-wrong/
What company do customers feel most connected to emotionally? Apple? Nope. Amazon? Sorry. It must be Nordstrom then, right? Not even close. To find the company that has the strongest emotional connection with customers, you have to leave the consumer world behind. Blows your mind, doesn’t it? According to new research from [...]
