I'm happy to notice that High DPI is now fully supported in Chromium for Linux starting in Dev Channel.
If you don't have a HighDPI screen, you can still run chromium with the --force-device-scale-factor=2 switch to see how scaling works there.

+Ahmed Magdy Yeah it will, just wait. It will be seen in the Dev build in likely a week or 2, likely in the next beta build after that and then eventually the Stable release. It just takes time.Apr 8, 2015
Finally! Been running with the scaling factor for a while now, but with the latest dev the menus are all fixed and looks great! Thank you!!Apr 8, 2015
+François Beaufort coincidentallyi spent some time today finding out if i should say "high DPI" or "high PPI" when talking about screens like apple retina and high end smartphones/laptops. i always said HDPI but i think that is confusing with the android term for a specific resolution.
I use High DPI now, like you did in your post, but it still feels like PPI is more correct; it are devices with a high pixel density. Or maybe they can be used interchangeably.
What do you think? ^_^

Heh, day n, got hidpi build. Day n+1, got build with bad gpu shader instructions. :) Hopefully Day n+2 is perfect.Apr 9, 2015
+Guus Goossens You're right, High PPI seems to be the right way according to http://sebastien-gabriel.com/designers-guide-to-dpi/ (+Sebastien Gabriel)
But I can't stop using High DPI. I think it's because of https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list?q=label:Cr-UI-HighDPI ;)Apr 9, 2015
Yeah, i'm also always saying High DPI. But i also want to use the correct terminology :PApr 9, 2015
