The chromium team takes great pride in making Chrome OS an operating system for everyone¹. And today, they're taking another step in the spirit of this philosophy by extending Chrome OS support to our beloved furry friends.

Starting from a long-standing feature request², a cat-friendly on-screen keyboard input has been designed based on extensive Animal-Computer Interaction (ACI) research. You or your cat can install the kitty keyboard from the Chrome Web Store and try the four pawing modalities and mouse mode using your trackpad or the touchscreen.
But this is just the beginning: input research is underway for other pet users, including dogs, fish, hamsters, and dinosaurs.

Any chance plants will get some love? Something based on biochemical sensors should be pretty easy to implement.

I hope we get a ChromeVox update. CatVox? Sticky mode always enabled.

Cat's don't have owners. Your argument is invalid. Period.

I believe +Jeffrey Kardatzke may be able to offer some insight into previous ACI research, and also look into incorporating this feature into the Fiber interface.
