Carbon transfer with DAS diaziostilbene

It's not finalized yet, but it's progressing well!

It's done quickly, ink as pigments and no clarification and transfer to photo paper.

I refine the chemistry and the protocol, I redid the chemistry this afternoon and prepared the baths of clarifications. I also prepared a pigment of the pigments at the wheel to calibrate a good dosage, for the moment I use a Chinese ink from Boesner whose I do not know the composition or dosage pigment.

I will prepare paper and glop tomorrow if I have time to allow time to tan gelatin paper alum (chrome and potassium).

Here is the first image that can be shown before I only shoot targets, it's not perfect, but it's moving forward.

Here is a photo of the version "box" of my UV light meter, I will be able to make tests and improvements more easily. I would post for those interested a complete presentation probably video. Following comments on other user forums on the autonomy of their UV meter in long run sessions, I added in addition to the 9v battery, a USB power supply and another by a external power supply from 6 to 12v, the card automatically selects the power supply.

Among the possible improvements I think add on this version or on another, the possibility of having in addition an external probe and has possibility of turning on and turning off automatically a UV insolator when the dose is reached.

I made him a robot head of the 70s, because it reminds me of my childhood!

DIY UV light meter for alternative photographic processes

I practice a number of alternative process kallitype, pt / pd, saline and albumen paper, cyano, collodion ... I have a well equipped lab or things are clear, I know my exposure time with my insoleuse UV and my protocols even if it evolves are validated. But I wanted to make large prints and my insoler is limited to 40x50cm, I have more room to make a larger and sometimes I want to make demos out of the lab and suddenly it's complicated. In addition to the arrival of good weather I wanted to leave the lab and see if there was a difference in rendering between artificial UV and natural light, the problem is that the expo time with non-POP processes are quite difficult to evaluate, I practice a lot of kallitype with Gold or Pt / Pd toning and the eye, even if the expo is good or not, it is mission impossible. I wanted to find outside the opportunity to control the exposure for these processes and not lose my calibration work in the lab....
