Ruling the American Ruling Class, the Calvin Cycle. I. The Foundation

This brand new softcover third printing of my 1982 First Edition hardcover book by Springer-Verlag just appeared online, providing the foundation for this Google+ series on "Ruling the American Ruling Class, the Calvin Cycle."

The Calvin cycle, or dark photosynthesis, is the current rule of law for all federal funding of photosynthesis research in the United States, contrary to the entire bodies of publications in the permanent literature by me and Berkeley's Melvin Calvin, who denounced dark photosynthesis in his Nobel Lecture dating back to 1960.

How did photosynthesis in sunlight become a dark reaction, contrary to the original papers by the late Melvin Calvin and myself?  A partial answer to this question is given below, in Part X of this series.

The complete answer to this question must await the conclusion of this investigation, the progress of which is being reported on my LETTERS BLOG.

A year ago, a digital printing of the 1982 hard-cover book picture below was published online as one of 110,000 titles taken from Springer's selection of its best books dating from 1840s, available on SpringerLink, in print and online, to "make your book live forever."  Hopefully, it, the digital printing, costs less than the $129.00 it takes to purchase the softcover reprint.

This book is 32 years of age.  I gave It the title, "Light Reaction Path of Photosynthesis," to shock the conscience of the heads of university foundations of 1982, who would sponsor federally funded dark photosynthesis research programs, with knowledge of the fact that Melvin Calvin of Berkeley and I have published extensively in the permanent literature that photosynthesis, of course, does not occur in the dark.

Members of the American Ruling Class, these individuals, the heads of university foundations, pay the Calvin cycle insiders circle of public officials to sponsor dark photosynthesis research funding to defraud the United States Treasury.

"Light Reaction Path of Photosynthesis" was as a research monograph, a collection of then-current findings by the leading workers of 1982.  Research monographs, by their very nature, get outdated by the normal advances in research progress.  I know of few, if any, research monographs, 32-years old, see second and third printings of their First Editions.

All this that's happened to my 32-year old research monograph is good, because the same heads of university foundations, today, are still sponsoring federally funded dark photosynthesis research to defraud the United States Treasury.  My 32-year old First Edition book is seeing second and third printings, presumably, because little or no progress in photosynthesis research has been -- is capable of being -- made, despite the billions of federal tax dollars of funding, on account of the university foundations' sponsorship of the Calvin cycle as NSF's and DOE's peer-review standard for all photosynthesis research funding in this country.
