At the end of "Film & Wine," (http://youtu.be/zHV5VpSOIpw) our director crosses from the film world into the wine world to share a bottle of Director's Cut with our winemaker. This bit of "movie magic" was achieved in a rather simple way as we actually filmed both worlds simultaneously right next to each other. Check it out in this one minute version of the short film without the split screen effect.

+Mark Wayda We inocculate because waiting for natural fermention on higher pH wine is really risky and would leave the wine vulnerable to spoilage.

Francis puts it best, saying the winery is “a wine wonderland, a park of pleasure where people of all ages can enjoy all the best things in life – food, wine, music, dancing, games, swimming and performances of all types. A place to celebrate the love of life.”

Very fun place, both for wine and movie lovers. Start with a wine tasting, then go reserve a table at the restaurant. While you're waiting (up to one hour), you'll have enough time to enjoy the exhibitions of Coppola films artifacts. End the day playing bocce ball with a nice view and a glass of wine.

Best location, much better than Napa, Alexander Valley is more relaxed. Great wines, superb location and during the Summer time try spending the day by the pool, they have the best cocktails by the pool and Rustica restaurant is super good.

Nice grounds and tasting room, however the entire winery is more of a circus. Restaurant was good. I would not recommend for some that wants to taste and enjoy wine.

We have been to the Coppala Winery twice and had a fun time. We had lunch there the last time we visited. We brought our mothers and they thought it was a great experience. The food was very traditional Italian, which was great since my mother and I are from the Bronx and know Italian food the way it should be prepared. The movie memorabilia is fun to see. I would suggest you try to get there on a week day when the crowds aren't so large. Just don't miss this place if you're in the area.

Fantastic wine tasting experience. Great atmosphere, you can taste at your own speed, and you are not being rushed or being given a sales speech. The place is full of memorabilia from some of Francis Ford Coppola's most successful films like The Godfather, Tucker, Dracula, and Apocalypse Now. As much of a museum as a winery this is a must visit location.

I am a boutique winery sort of gal and avoided Coppola since I'm averse to crowds. I visited with my friends in late afternoon on a Monday (Veteran's Day holiday). The tasting is $10 and included the Sofia signature bubbly. The highlight of the visit were the showrooms of movie memorabilia from the Coppola family's iconic movies. The view over the vineyard was stunning but we decided to eat our dessert (they were okay, not mind blowing) indoors at the bar. I had the lemon tart, which was the tastiest, compared to my friends' apple tart and panna cotta (both mild in flavor, again not outstanding). The Illy cappuccino that the bartender made was meh. I enjoyed walking the grounds and would come back to swim in the pool during the summer.
