Heading to the Homeland soon, and really, really, really looking forward to the yummy food!

So, tell me: Does anyone really use Google+? I want to like it, but there never seems to be much conversation happening. (Yes, I realise I don't use it much, either.)

I think Google+ was the result of Google execs seeing what a huge data mine Facebook had become. They couldn't stand feeling left out, so they tried to re-invent the wheel. They really had no hope of actually competing in terms of scale. I wonder if it was a "for the regiment" kind of endeavor. Now I think it just gets mocked as a waste of effort on Google's part. For my part I like it simply for the fact that it's 'not Facebook'. Other than that it's never made it off the launch pad.
