Response from the owner - in the last week
Thanks for your feedback about your visit to our shop. Our goal is providing the very best customer experience.
Like custom made furniture, jewelry, window treatments, etc., custom framing is more expensive than the mass-marketed imports. We create one frame at a time and we are able to have control over what materials are used, where they come from and be concerned first and foremost with protecting each customer's artwork and presenting it in an attractive manner.
This custom process and protection, however, may not be required, an appropriate choice or in budget for all things to be framed.
For decorative art: especially, posters, etc., one can purchase ready-made frames that are available in a variety of sizes at big box retailers. These work for many decorative projects.
Though we have custom frame packages starting at $59.95 to $99.95, for decorative items that require a custom size, an American hardwood frame, like the one in the size we quoted you, was not in the lower price range.
I’m glad you were able to find something that worked for you.
Please keep in mind, when using an off-the-shelf frame from another seller to look for the closest size or larger. If your art is original or limited (collectible) edition it should never be trimmed. Also if it is a limited edition, a double mat or spacer should be used to provide a space between the art and the glass.
We happily add mats/spacer and UV blocking glass to any frames purchased elsewhere. We also dry mount posters and photos even we are not providing the frame.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. If need be, we hope to serve you in the future.
