"Elsewhere: The bed was very comfortable and the casino dealers were depressing."

I HAVE been going to Foxwoods for many years and always have a great time. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The rooms at the Fox Towers and the Pequot are extremely comfortable and clean. The Tanger Mall is is a great addition to the casino. I am a avid blackjack player and more often than not the dealers are very pleasant. The rumor is that next year a water park will be open. You owe me a commission, I suggested that 7 years ago . Love to see tennis courts added and a basketball court. Being italian a bocci court would be awesome. Love my home away from home. Keep up the good job.

This review is purely for the Festival Buffet restaurant. I went Friday night with my family and unfortunately lost my appetite as all the food I put on my plate tasted old and unappetizing. The only thing that was fresh was the seafood which my family enjoyed. I was surprised as I had a fond memory going to this buffet a few years ago when the food was of great quality. I don't know what happened. I started with a coconut curry soup and that tasted pretty good so bravo to the cook. The egg noodle dish tasted cold and old. The red skinned mashed potatoes were also barely warm. It was odd because I was there around 6-7pm which is peak time. I then ended up skipping dinner items all together and went for desserts. These were ok quality but doable as I was hungry. The next day my mother and brother got sick and spent half the day in bed. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be dining there again.

I always have a great time when I go. I've stayed in all the hotels the only hotel I was not impressed with was the Cedar, but I loved the pool. The Fox is the best and the Spa there is heaven, if you can afford it. I've gone with the girls, for a romantic getaway and even with the kids. I will go back again and again. Just wish I would win next time :).

Just came back from three days at Foxwoods - and had a fabulous time. We stayed in the Pequot Towers. The room was very comfortable - complete with a refrigerator and a breakfast nook. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Tanger Outlets are fabulous and they are accessible from the hotel without having to leave the building. There is a small indoor pool, which is free for Pequot guests. We even won some money at the slot machines! Hope to go again.

I worked at Grand Pequot Towers and watched tribal members from the front desk, bell desk, and other parts of the hotel just leave for hours and come back with no explanation needed. Bringing this to the attention of my supervisor, Nicole, who is also tribal she said she would look into it and nothing was done. This bothered me because tribal members get 3X the starting salary and getting paid 30/hr to do nothing and not even being property while I was only making $10/hr at a four star casino working my ass off. I am an IT specialist and learned their extremely out dated Megasys system with ease, I was told by several of my trainers that I learned the system faster than anyone they have seen in a long time. Other less tech savvy co-workers were intimidated by this, filed complaints against me about stupid tedious things, for example, a brought a coffee from D&D in with me to work and a certain co worker was "cleaning" and through my FILLED coffee cup away as we have to keep drinks in the back so I did not have my eyes on it. I asked around where my coffee was and eventually found out who threw it away. She swore she asked everyone who's it was and obviously thats not true because she didn't ask me, and that would be everyone. After asking her why she would throw away a full coffee she just flipped out and said "FINE HOW MUCH WAS IT I'LL PAY FOR IT!" and I simply told her I did not want her money, just please ask me again in the future. She filed a complaint against me with MUCH EXAGGERATION! Saying that I yelled and screamed at her, whatever lady, its $3 bucks and i'm not crying over that. She filed this complaint after she was next to me at the front desk and didn't know how to enter a certain promo into Megasys, I did, and offered help. At that point she had been there for years and I was only there for two weeks. She stormed off for no reason and I had to complete her transaction w/ her hotel guests and then apologize to mine for the inconvenience and finish their transaction too. The next day I got called into the office over the coffee thing mentioned earlier and I explained the real reason of the complaint because the coffee thing happened almost a week prior. These people are looking for mindless drones to do their checking in and out, if you have an IQ over 100 and are looking for a job while you finish school like I was, don't go there. They are intimidated by intelligence. My new job now at Three Rivers Community College embraces, takes advantages, and rewards me for my ideas on how to streamline things using technology and simple programming scripts to overall make our Financial Aid office more efficient. They value me as an asset. Foxwoods does not. You are just an employee ID to them, and god forbid you are smarter than your supervisor or co-workers. I'm sorry but I will not act stupid to make friends. I am not high and mighty about my intelligence, but actually very humble and offered to help whenever I could, I guess it bothered them they had to be helped by someone who had only been there for a few weeks. I worked there for 2 months and decided it was time to quit and when I went into Nicole's office she was firing me anyway, win win I guess. She was overweight, unattractive, and miserable because of it, it is not my fault you can't love yourself regardless of how you look. Beauty isn't everything and she really needs some therapy to address those concerns. We have all seen the overweight not so good looking person who is miserable and mad at the world with a why me complex; this is Nicole. BTW, forgot to add JAIME PERRY IS AWESOME! She trains all the new front desk agents at grand pequot and Fox towers. Friendly, compassionate, funny, and just a genuinely good happy person, and GREAT at what she does. She is just great, and should probably have Nicole's job or a better one. This is a casino built by the Pequots that depends on non tribal members to keep the place afloat while starting them at 3x less pay than tribal members. Great reward system...what a joke.

First thing i noticed was how bright this place was and everyone seemed like they were having a good time. The workers here are so friendly i felt like i knew them before. Played my first Poker tournament and the dealers were very patience because i was a little slower then everyone else. Then i played some slots and the payoffs were great. Also a nice selection of shops. They need to add some extra full directory maps on the floors or walls because it's hard to see some of the signs hanging up. Maybe add a map to the phone app. Also add lids to the ash trays so i don't have to blow off the ashes off the slot machines.

The poker room is by far the best in the North East. The staff is awesome even when dealing with tough customers. And the bingo and there staff are the best for years now keep up the great work. Only slight negative I could see might be cutting staff a little less then another place we won't mention by name.
