He's really really sorry and he really really loves her so much and couldn't he just have one more chance?
 
No need; the multiple bullets through the door replaced his need for his wife. Now his life takes a long, miserable, sullen direction.
 
Wonder how he's going to defend himself.  From what we've heard so far, he doesn't have a leg to stand on...  
 
There'll be no tiptoeing around his culpability in this one.
