I think I'm going to start a new subgenre: "Punkpunk," which will have absolutely nothing to do with punk whatsoever. But people will think it's twice as cool as anything else on the planet. Then I'll write stories and edit anthologies using "Punkpunk" as a marketing category. When people say they don't "get it," I will smugly grin, get a condescending glint in my eye, and say "No. No, you don't. Loser."

I'm getting enough writing and gaming projects, not to mention book reviews, that I'm thinking of using a bullet journal as an analog method of organising myself.
Have your heard about the Bullet Journal system yet? How I use my bullet journal to bring mindfulness and gratitude into my daily life & you can too!

Like I mentioned: after testing a few different ones, Leuchtturm beats Moleskine in my book.

Signal boost! A fun little survey!

As part of my efforts to improve Learn Tabletop RPGs, once a year I conduct a brief, highly unscientific poll to get a glimpse into how people get started with tabletop roleplaying. So here it is:

1) What game did you first play?
2) Who introduced you to it (sibling, classmate, itinerant gnome, etc)?
3) What year did this happen?

Signal boosts appreciated!

Depending on where you are in the world, you might already see the trade paperback edition of HERACLIX AND POMP at your local bookstore. I'd love to hear about and see photos of any "sightings" of the TPB (which I haven't even seen in person yet). Please share and let me know what you think!

I'm raffling off my Kickstarter M.A. Hardcover and a "Wizard Supplies" prize package that includes a signed print from Doug Kovacs and other DCC goodies, all to benefit Jim Ward!

Just a general announcement: In about 6 hours, I will be driving with my family out to Wyoming and Utah for a much needed vacation. Given the mountains, the interwebs may be difficult to connect with, so I'll only be online occasionally. I'll get back on the 20th, but in the meantime we're looking forward to fishing, shooting big guns (Sorry if that offends your sensibilities - if it helps, I don't own any guns myself), hiking, reading, writing, visiting relatives, and hopefully avoiding grizzly bears. If you don't hear from me after the 20th, it's likely I've been eaten by grizzlies.
