Friends, Mates, Droogs,

I am working on a scenario set in the early years of the Golden Age of Poor Workmanship: the 1970s. Now I lived in England for about three years in the mid-80s, but I have little knowledge of living there in the early '70s. So I have questions. I made an extreme success on both my Spot Hidden and Psychology rolls, so I know some of you have the answers. If you could help me with this, it would be much, much appreciated. And now, the questions:

1. Were there any hippie communes in England like the ones in the US? Separate from society, with their own rules, lots of drugs, free love, and Hendrix?
2. Were the BBC and the military the only ones who controlled television towers? And were there two BBC channels then, or three? Channel 4 didn't come on until 1982, I know.
3. (very important) Did people receive money for collecting and bringing aluminum (however you like to say it) cans to a recycler?
4. Hitchhiking: legal or not? Practiced or not?
5. Any wacky satanic scandles or strange cults like the Mansons, et al in the US at that time?

Your help is much appreciated. Those who answer quickest will be the first to, mercifully, die first. Thanks!

Super long shot here, but does anyone have any "Dice Nouveau" from this kickstarter that they'd like to sell?

My review of Traitor's Purse. Short version: Not bad for a book I bought on a whim. But it could have been so much better.
