Reviews of Great Indie Books.
Introduction
Identifying the right book for the right time is more difficult than ever. Foreword, one of the few remaining wholly independent review sources, capably reviews two-thousand-plus books a year from the country’s top small presses. Whether you choose to read our award winning magazine, newly-launched website, or our digital newsletter, the information you need to find the best books in publishing is at your fingertips.

As well, publishing would be a difficult sea to navigate without independent review sources guiding readers to quality works. Since 1998, Foreword has exclusively reviewed books from small presses for our readership of librarians, booksellers, avid readers and 125,000 website visitors. Through various services, ForeWord is positioned to help any and all publishers bring their titles to national and international markets.

We normally print 10,000+ copies with extra distribution is going to BookExpo America, American Library Assn annual conference, and the book fairs in Frankfurt, London, Bologna, Beijing, etc).

Foreword affects the choices of booksellers and librarians across the country who tell millions what to read. Our typical publication reaches an audience of 20,000. We also put the magazine in the hands of agents and editors at larger houses who are looking for leads to bring into their fold from the independent press sector. All told, readership is about 85% librarians, 12% bookstores, 3% publishing professionals…and our parents.
