Recently I started my 3rd contract with EPIK! My original plan was to stay for 1 year but that has turned into 3. Needless to say things have been pretty good here! EPIK is a good company to work for, but I have seen a little bit of a decline in new EPIK recruits lately, part of the reason is the Korean Public Education system are beginning to cut down on the amount of TEFL Public school teachers in Jeju and other regions, so I have seen many EPIK teachers take the leap to private academy's that seem to offer better housing and benefits. For me I prefer big classes over smaller private ones (I like the chaos of having 30 kids in a class haha) so I am content at the moment! I do feel however that after my current contract has finished I will be moving on to another country to teach and the first place I will start my search is with Footprints! From start to finish you guys helped me all the way to Korea! Without Footprints watching over me, this whole adventure would have been ever more scary. Your help with the application and visa process was invaluable! Not only that but once I arrived at the EPIK orientation in Seoul I was lucky enough to meet other Footprint recruits. It was also great that while in Korea footprint linked us with other recruits who had already been here for some time. Your continued support has been greatly appreciated!

My experience with Footprints and ADEC has been fantastic. Footprints did a phenomenal job keeping me updated weekly. I did not arrive until group number 7 of last year. Although all of my paperwork was completed, I had to WORK a temporary job until immigration finalized my working visa. To those out their going through a similar process, my #1 advice is to WORK your temporary job until you get your flight; live your life with friends/family at home, and be extremely patient. The process can be stressful, but not if you handle it with wisdom and listen to those who have come before you. I love my job with ADEC, I love Abu Dhabi, and my future with ADEC is bright. Thank you Footprints for facilitating my interview process and being professional by keeping me informed. I am sooooo happy with my decision to teach in the middle east. Final word of advice to anyone coming over: "respect their culture, stay away from negative thinkers and people who are constantly complaining...it will affect you, do what you can...this is how they do things....it will not be the same as your home country, adjust and join different groups on facebook...watch what you say on facebook, live life, have fun, be grateful and put things in perspective because it could be so much worse, and make friends with your Arabic colleagues and principles....it goes a long way.

It has been a while, but what I remember is that Footprints definietly made the application process much easier to follow and kept me on track to ensure I made all the deadlines. Footprints assisted me in filling out the application form, conducted a Q&A skype session and answered any questions I had about the process or about EPIK. When I arrived in Korea, there was also a representative at Incheon airport to greet me (us). I have not stayed connected with Footprints since being in Korea, but I do appreciate the help that your service provided that allowed me to come to Korea.
