I feel very lucky to have met some really interesting and passionate people in food over the last few months. It's also meant I've been able to taste some pretty amazing products along the way. I want to share some of the stories and experiences that have inspired me the most, so here is the first instalment of my food inspirations: http://bit.ly/1D0QLGl

#MeatFreeMonday is a great movement to encourage people to consider how much meat they are eating. You don't need to go fully vegetarian if you enjoy eating meat, but it does mean thinking about having at least one meat free day in a week.

There are benefits both for our bodies and the planet in reducing over-consumption of meat. Small amounts of the best quality meat you can afford (which of course depends on your personal circumstances) is the best way to include meat in your diet.

One of my favourite vegetarian books is A Modern Way To Eat by Anna Jones. It has a selection of great tasting and easy to prepare veggie recipes. I'm very excited as Anna has a new book coming out soon (A Modern Way To Cook). If you'd like to try out Meat Free Monday and are looking for inspiration, here's a selection from Anna's upcoming book: http://ow.ly/PP4Oh
