You need to know your Sunscreen ingredients!

Inherent problems with Avobenzone: Low photo-stability in many formulations; breaks down in both visible and ultra violet.

Inherent problems with Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide; Less wearable, towels off easily, rinses off immediately when exposed to moisture in many formulations. Can leave a pasty white film. High concentration needed for protection. Zinc oxide wears poorly leaving reduced protection levels within three hours.

Thus, the need for re-application throughout the day, for sunscreens containing the above ingredients.

Are you looking for a sunscreen that does not have to be re-applied?

I think we need to discuss skincare (after all that's mainly why I'm here, right?).
What is your skincare routine? Do you follow it each and every day? Do you need a change-up? Are you compliant?
If you expect to have GOOD or GREAT skin, you need to be using the correct products for YOUR skin and you need to also have treatments for YOUR skin every 4 - 6 weeks. Sound easy? It is....

 #Cosmetology

Ahh! Friday....Do you have a fun weekend planned. I will be working on my book. I have a deadline of Sept1, to have the writing part completed. Sure hope I can make that happen!

What kind of book, you ask? It will be a helpful book for new estheticians. There is so much they do not learn in school, but need in order to go out and start practicing esthetics.

If you are a new esthetician or if... you know of someone in school or waiting for their test date, you might like to steer them in my direction. They will find, “Here you are license in hand, all excited to start with your very first client. But where do you start? What do you do? What do you still need to do before you can work on that first client?”

Have you tried E2 Serum? What is it, you say? E2 Serum is a potent product containing highly purified Emu Oil fortified with Vitamin E. It is a potent moisturizer and offers relief from symptoms such as dryness, chafing and many types of irritation. It quickly penetrates the skin.
I call it "magic" , since it works for so many conditions. I think every household should have a bottle handy. It is wonderful for burns (sunburn, BBQ, oven, curling iron), bug bites, cuts, eczema to name a few.

The weather has cooled off for a few days, so made me think of AHA's (primarily glycolic acid). These are very effective in helping to keep the skin clear and healthy, in a less aggressive way than some other much deeper peels.

Glycolic acid differs from other AHA's (alpha hydroxyl acid) in that it has a much more tiny molecular structure. Therefore it penetrates the skin and moves below the surface while producing positive changes and results.

Hyaluronic acid (HA), which is also known as Hyaluronan or Sodium Hyaluronate, is a substance that is naturally present in almost every living thing. In humans, it acts as a network that transfers essential nutrients from the bloodstream to skin cells, plays a role in tissue repair, and functions as a lubricant. High concentrations are found in soft connective tissues and in the fluid surrounding your eyes. It's also in cartilage and joint fluids, as well as skin tissue. It is synthesized in the plasma membrane of fibroblasts and other cells and gives skin its volume and fullness.

Hyaluronic acid is the key element in the skin's elasticity and creates volume in the skin to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It acts like an inflated cushion to support facial structures and tissues that may have lost volume or elasticity due to both accelerated and normal aging by adding fullness while reducing the prominence of the wrinkles. It also attracts and binds water, making it a lubricant as well.

The problem lies in the fact that most of us do not have healthy skin. Therefore, we need a boost to help stimulate exfoliation which may occur in some people within 45, 60, 90 days or more, rather than 28. If you have dry or less-than-supple skin and/or you don't want to use an exfoliating agent like Glycolic Acid, Vitamin A or Peptides that stimulate the production of Hyaluronic Acid, you can utilize A-Cute Derm's Hyaluronic Acid Lotion. It is loaded with skin nutrients, including Hyaluronic Acid, Super Oxide Dismutase and Tissue Growth Factors with a liposome delivery system to channel these ingredients into the dermis within minutes. This product can act as a moisturizer day and night and will give you long term cosmeceutical benefits to keep your skin soft, smooth and supple. You will find this product to be extremely effective and very moderately-priced compared to most products on the market that do not offer as many essential components for healthier skin.
