TRAVEL AND NATURE: FOR NEW INSPIRATION
I love to travel and see new things. This gorgeous place in South Africa is in the Golden Gate NP. You find it in the Drakensbergen (mountains). It inspired me to make this necklace, made of abalone shells

Necklace Golden Butterfly
https://www.zibbet.com/dancingrainbows/necklace-golden-butterfly

This Golden Butterfly is the perfect compliment to go with this extraordinary 18mm Swarovski Graphic crystal in Olivine. The Butterfly is a 15mm Gold-Plated Swallowtail Butterfly charm.
To continue the theme, I have overlayed the Gold charm with a 6mm Swarovski AB Butterfly crystal.

BEADINFORMATION: AMBER
The word 'amber' comes from the Middle Persian word 'ambar'. It was originally used to describe a hardened waxy substance found within the intestines of sperm whales called ambergris. Ambergris is used in the production of fragrances because it has a very appealing aromatic smell. During the 14th century, the use of the term amber shifted from reference to ambergris to the gemstone. Amber and ambergris were often confused with one another because both can be found washed up on beach shores. The two are easily distinguished by density. Ambergris has a much lower density and floats in freshwater. Amber gemstones do not float in freshwater, but float in saltwater.

Art Nouveau...
The shape of the hairpin and hinged diadem mounted with turquoise is a 19th Century French idea. The insect-like design of the diadem is Art Nouveau. Also, the piece is mounted in gold. c. 1895. Unsigned
