Ryan, thanks for sharing these all-too-true realities of self-publishing. Your key points cannot be stressed enough: we have to give up some activities to make time for our writing, and we MUST get professional help. Unfortunately too many first-time authors don't take this advice and end up frustrated when they can't complete their work or after publication, don't get the sales they thought would flood in.
