This day in history - Jan. 16, 1786 – Virginia enacted the Statute for Religious Freedom authored by Thomas Jefferson. #tdih

"That our civil rights have no dependence on our religious opinions any more than our opinions in physics or geometry,
That therefore the proscribing any citizen as unworthy the public confidence, by laying upon him an incapacity of being called to offices of trust and emolument, unless he profess or renounce this or that religious opinion, is depriving him injuriously of those privileges and advantages, to which, in common with his fellow citizens, he has a natural right,"

Extremely expensive. I realize some items can be found here that are hard to find, however, the prices compared to what can be found cheaper elsewhere online are outrageous. Neat old place though.

Hello Jamie, Thank you for your review. Some of our prices can be higher than some of our competitors, however, we can not price products at cost or we would close our doors forever. And with a staff of 20+ we want to keep our employees working and the lights on. When a customer calls in, we strive to give them excellent service and support that doesn't compare with most stores today. We hope to see you as a customer in the future but understand if not.

Hilariously High Prices! For adding a simply geometric image to a double-sided 5'x8' flag, I was quoted $1,000.00. Yes, you read that right. One, THOUSAND, dollars. For a flag made of the cheapest thread in the world; nylon. I will never be back. What a joke of a company. I found a local company that did the entire project for $97.99.
Response from the owner - 11 months ago
Hello Thomas, We have spoken with our sales team to see what happened here to have such a high quote. The records we show indicate the quote was for an 8' x 12' flag. We apologize for the mistake.

Love the folks at F&B, especially around the holidays. Aside from just flags, they have a fantastic assortment of decorative items online and at their physical location downtown. Thanks!

Really wish I would have went here before placing my order. Went ahead and ordered a flag to be just like the one that a coworker previously ordered, and received something that was not even worth the material it was printed on. But as the company has made it clear it must be my fault as the customer that if I send you $140 that in return I will get back something that looks like it took 5 minutes to do with a sharpie marker. When I could go online and order a 5' x 5' flag, stitched and reversible for $60 at most. As you tell by the pictures this order was not important and the company "assumed" that because it was going to be put in a frame that the care and attention to detail did not matter. A direct quote from the company "I’m not really sure what else you were expecting from a piece of nylon that was digitally printed to be framed." Again it must be my fault as a customer to expect a company I paid $140 to produce something of quality that reflects the amount. As an Active Duty Marine, the product received would be an embarrassment to present to someone as a going away gift. We will never return to do business with this company and will discourage anyone else from ever doing business as well.
