I am currently a very dissatisfied customer. When I signed up for service in January we were told that we could put our account on hold because we are going out of the country this summer. When we went into the gym to place the hold and we were told by the front desk attendant that we would no longer be able to put the account on hold unless we had a medical emergency. I talked to the manager on the floor who gave me a phone number to call and said that these would be the people who could help me out. I called the number and left a voicemail. I never heard anything back after leaving that voicemail. I called again a few weeks ago and left another voicemail. Again I never heard anything back I called again about a week later and talked to Amber who said that she doesn't receive voicemails and she doesn't know where they go. I told her my situation again and she told me that I would be unable to put the account on hold due to new ownership. I said ok then, can you cancel my account? She said no. I asked if she had a manager. She said no. I asked who she reports to and she said that she talks to the owner directly and she gave me this email address.

5 Excellent Ways to Stay Motivated to Lose Weight - If you want long term success, you need to make sure your aims are sensible and your strategy is achievable. Work in smaller achievable chunks and celebrate your small wins. Work slowly and consistently, this would help build confidence to go forward.
Always make realistic goals to achieve success. Ann Kulze (author of 10 step diet) says “If you are making unrealistic goals you are setting yourself up to fail.” This is true because unrealistic targets would badly discourage you to work harder. So disappointed with new management. New kids club hours (I was told new owners want their members to spend time with their families-ahhh...don't think I need anyone telling me when to do that), new times for classes that had been there for years, steam room burns eyes with chems, Jacuzzi and pool look old and filthy. I was loyal for 7 years bc of the kick butt instructors. The straw was new owners letting go of THE best instructors today. Membership Cancelled. Spend your money at the newer nicer clubs.

The worst customer service possible. Seriously, don't waste your time. It is hard enough to go to the gym and sign up without having terrible employees who are unwilling to help. My husband and I bought two 3 month passes for a fundraiser that had the actual Fitness Works logo and everything that verified it was official, however because they had new management they would not accept the coupons and were not even willing to strike a deal. They were so rude, seriously so let down. I would rather run outside in the bolstering heat then go to this gym. DON'T DO IT!

ASK FOR A COPY OF THE CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING !!!!! I signed up for the Personal Trainer Program, and they NEVER gave me a copy of the agreement for me to look over. They also never emailed me the agreement; I only got a receipt for the first payment. I even asked about if there were any cancellation fees. And I was never told that I had three days to cancel the agreement or I would then be stuck with the whole commitment (over a grand btw). I had to go in and ask for a copy from the VP at the Gilbert location. When I mentioned that I never received a copy from the manager, she actually lied and said she had gave it to me. I am not happy with the way I was treated; therefore I do not recommend signing up for any additional classes or programs. The actual membership fee is reasonable for the gym's amenities. However, I don't feel comfortable going there anymore since they were dishonest.

This Gym is great. It has all the equipment you need and a large floor space for group training. I took the opportunity to get a personal trainer and I must say it works. My trainer, Mark, is positive, motivating, and very knowledgeable about the correct training regimen to use. Mark constantly pushes me during our workout and pays attention to my improvements, making sure to point them out. He also never has me doing the same routine week to week, even for the same muscle groups, keeping every session fresh and interesting. Overall I recommend this gym and definitely recommend getting Mark as a trainer.

Complete RIP OFF. After you sign up for personal training, you are automatically renewed without being informed. To top it off, once you cancel it then they will charge you an extra service which wasn't request or given. Motto: " Their members are #1 priority" What Bull Shit! If their members were any of their concern they would give back the money they stole!!!! FIND A GYM that once you cancel doesn't take 30 days to process so you don't get your money taken from you and Customer Service reps that actually care. What happened to the Customer is always RIGHT?!

Mike Newhard is a great personal trainer. He really knows his stuff (multiple certifications). He knows how to challenge me with creative workouts. He is great at adapting exercises for my knee and elbow issues. He takes body measurements every month or so. Within one month, I made progress in every area measured. He is the fourth trainer I have worked with and so far he is the best.
