New #Mitel   #Phonesystem  case study posted on our web site here. This was a customer that needed a big overhaul on their telephony. They are spread over 4 sites so we upgraded their old AVAYA systems with Mitel 5000 systems (now called MiVoice 250) including Microsoft Dynamics CTI integration:

With so much choice and confusion around #business #telecoms these days, we thought we would do our bit by trying to explain to people, briefly, what the different types of telephone systems are that are available these days.

Our updated web page is here:

We are looking for a new Junior IT Support Person to join our growing team in our Tunbridge Wells office. This person will be responsible for assisting with IT Support requests from customers.

Ideally, they would have 1-2 years experience in desktop/server support or general IT support (routers, switches, firewalls, MS Office etc).

Salary is negotiable depending on their skills and experience.
This is a very good opportunity for someone to develop their career - the opportunity for development and establish a part in a team destined for growth is excellent.

Sometimes they will be office-based. Other times, they will be involved in on-site customer projects in and around the South East and London.

We aim to give WOW-FACTOR service so a positive can-do attitude is essential along with good communication and inter-personal skills, a friendly face and helpful nature.

Please get in touch if interested: info@firstoffice.co.uk

We deal with #BTOpenreach  on a daily basis (unfortunately) as we are constantly arranging #phoneline  and #networkservices  for our customers as part of larger telecoms projects.

Yesterday they missed an appointment in London. Re just re-appoint it for another day.

Meanwhile, our customer has been there since 8am (or until 6pm) waiting for them to show.

Now if the shoe was on the other foot, we would get charged £ 93!! As there were 2 lines, BTO would have doubled it!!!

Where is the justice in that - about time someone sorted out what we think is the worst company on the planet.

Canon UK have announced their new #imageRUNNER   Advance 3300 multi-functional copier printer (or #MFD   or #MFP  ).

This is a welcome addition to the #canoncopier  range, replacing the 2200 series, which were not as successfully received as some other Canon devices in the past.

The 3300 has some neat features, such as the stapler which doesn't need staples!
See here for more details on the range!

So BT Openreach have announced that ISDN is going to be discontinued in 2025! So what does that mean? Many of our customers have already made the move to #SIP  and #IPtrunking  using #VoIPlines  on a decent internet connection.

However, you really can make a mess of it if you are badly advised!

See our web page for more info #deathofISDN
