Do you ever sit in your car and actually wonder how your windshield is held in? Have you ever broken your windshield and thought about how big of a deal it may be to replace it? Is it a safety feature or just a giant bug deflector to you? Would you think that some cars actually have failed a front end crash test but past after another bead of urethane had been placed between the windshield and firewall? That passenger airbags use the windshield as a backboard? Consumers usually don't ask the important safety questions with automotive repair. We want to know how much will it cost and will it be done yesterday. If you have insurance paying for the repair then 9 out of 10 times its left to the insurance company to decide "as long as my rates don't go up". It's going to be my mission in the next year to change the consumers view on automotive glass and safety with in my service area. Something has to change our industry. Customers need to do their homework on repair companies and be educated on the repair being done. Ask the important questions. Use local companies with a proven track record.
