After Winning More Than 20 National Bar-B-Que Awards, Owner Steve Uliss won the Massachusetts State BBQ Championships and represented the Commonwealth in the Jack Daniels World Invitational Barbecue Competition.

“It took me about nine years to perfect my rib recipe… Now you can sink your choppers into some of the best bar-b-que on the planet, right here at Firefly’s... and the awards keep piling up to prove it!”

Walk into one of our restaurants and, in addition to receiving a warm welcome with Southern-style hospitality, you’ll be greeted by the mouthwatering aromas of authentic American bar-b-que.

We smoke our meats for up to 12 hours, blending apple, cherry and hickory woods to create the signature red smoke ring that identifies the genuine low-fire, slow-cooking process of true bar-b-que. We offer four different styles of ribs and mop sauces from around the South including North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

In addition to bar-b-cue, you’ll find many other Southern specialties on our menu including Cracklin’ Bread, Fried Chicken, Red Beans ‘n Rice, Sweet Potato Pecan Puddin’ and more!

Kick back, relax, and enjoy Firefly’s award-winning bar-b-que and Southern fare at our restaurant, take a feast home, or let us cater your next big party or get together.

Oh, and by the way... If you’re not that all-fired sure what the heck we’re talking about, then you may want to check out our Glossary, to learn what makes a Mop Sauce different from a Dry Mop or a Dry Rub, and why a Po’ Boy can make you feel mighty rich.

The water glasses were big 32oz glasses which is always great and diminishes the need for constant refills. Although I did get a refill without asking when it was half full. We had Sunday buffet. A lot of meat products. I only eat chicken so my select was cut by 2/3. However I knew that and was able to fill up with no problems. The pulled chicken was delicious. The BBQ chicken and Mac & cheese were good. The omlette station was slow but the overall product good. The desert selection was small. The price ($15.95) seems a bit too high. The fireballs, rather than mints, was nice and welcomed.

The food had gone downhill for awhile. We hadn't been in almost a year because of a few bad visits, but a recent trip definitely has restored my faith in this place.

This restaurant has the best BBQ I have ever tasted outside of the Deep South! The menu is extensive and the sauces are extremely flavorful and tasty! The brisket is so tender until you can cut it with a spoon! The baby back ribs have plenty of meat on them and the pulled pork is cooked just right. For first timers, I highly recommend the Burnt Ends as an appetizer and the 3 meat combo - $20 (pulled pork, baby back ribs and brisket). Steve and his entire staff are very friendly and attentive. Morgan is the best server in town! Ask for her tables if you can.

Friendly staff, good drink selection and the food was excellent. Quality bbq. They are doing a renovation while staying open, so it's not the prettiest right now, but it will be...

I know that BBQ is a very individual taste. That said, my husband and I LOVE Firefly's! Best BBQ around and scrumptious sides. Their "yardbird" chicken is a great deal with 2 sides and my husband loves their pulled pork sandwich plate. I'm not a pork or beef person but my husband says their ribs are delicious. Son in law had a mixed platter and said it was all outstanding! Huge, home brewed ice tea, and crunchy and sweet onion straws....I'm going to have to go again soon, just writing about it is making me hungry. Wonderful, attentive and friendly wait staff also. It's become our favorite restaurant.
