Docker.  Done right.

Forget what you read about Docker before.

Kinda old, but still funny: An IPv4 address walks into a bar. "A large CIDR, please," I'm exhausted.

Tips & Tricks  -

Just booted FreeBSD-11.0-CURRENT-arm-armv6-RPI2-20150625-r284814.img on my Raspberry PI 2. Before dd'ing it to a micro SD card, I used mdconfig to mount that image on a running box, set PermitRootLogin to yes in /etc/ssh/sshd_config, and added my public ssh key to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys. Otherwise, you'll need a USB keyboard and most likely a TV monitor to log in.
+Dan Langille At least mine doesn't need a monitor to boot up.

https://github.com/freebsd/crochet It eliminates the need for monitors and keyboards, to create your image with a fully populated required files file system and running the necessary services ;)

Sure! Luckily, no factory worker was harmed. Local economy still indecisive.

bsdinstall from FreeBSD 10.2-BETA1 - I like these subtle changes.

When hardware becomes faster than scheduling an asynchronous I/O request...
In a traditional block I/O path, the operating system completes virtually all I/Os asynchronously via interrupts. However, performing storage I/O with ultra-low latency devices using next-generation non-volatile memory, it can be shown that polling for the completion — hence wasting clock cycles ...

After upgrading #FreeBSD to 10.1-RELEASE-p12 due to #Logjam , sendmail may not be able to connect via TLS. Even local mail submission may fail:

Jun 12 22:44:26 router sendmail[2088]: STARTTLS=client, error: connect failed=-1, reason=dh key too small, SSL_error=1, errno=0, retry=-1
Jun 12 22:44:26 router sendmail[2088]: ruleset=tls_server, arg1=SOFTWARE, relay=[127.0.0.1], reject=403 4.7.0 TLS handshake.

Solution: Generate a Diffie Hellman parameter file:

openssl gendh -out /etc/mail/certs/dh.param 1024

Then, service sendmail restart, sendmail -Ac -qf, and sendmail -qf.
