I have been on battery the last 22+ hours and still have 6% left, much much better than the crappy #Lollipop "project Volta" enhanced Android 5.
Google, what are your thoughts on this?
(Que bueno que es con KitKat y no con Lollipop!)

I just decided on downgrading my Nexus 5 to Kitkat 4.4.4.
Android Lollipop got to my nerves due its memory leaks and the short battery life it was giving me.
If and only if Google decides to do things right and releases a much better improved new Android 5.1 or 5.2 , I will re-install it. Lollipop 5.0.1 ( or 5.02 ) is too full of bugs and crap for my taste now.
Google: I have been an Android user since the venerable Nexus One, since the first generation came out and actually loved the phone and loved the Operating System, Android.
Android presented a great viable alternative to the Apple closed ecosystem, presented a better way to do things, a great way to have a cool phone with lots of features, based on open systems, not tying the user to proprietary stuff...it was kind of made in heaven...
Then, the Nexus S came to be... then the Galaxy Nexus.. (which was a real piece of crap, the hardware broke, the very exact day of the 1 year anniversary after I bought it... nobody cared and the warranty was over...) Then the Nexus 4, which I still have and is my secondary phone, now, my primary phone is a Nexus 5 and a Nexus 7 2013 3G tablet... I love my N5 and N7...but: with Android 4.4.4 KitKat
Since Android 5.0 came out and was released, the performance of those two devices, went to hell...lagging, applications closing out of nowhere, launcher not launching itself and not launching apps...the phone is buggy callers can't hear my voice and/or I can't hear them (of course volumes are OK).... and so on. I have factory reset the phone and tablet I don't know how many times now... it get's fixed for just a brief time, but problems come back immediately.
As of battery, your project Volta is a joke, a complete joke... not only we do not have a longer duration of battery...but with Lollipop, the phone literally eats battery power like crazy... I used to have more than 24 hours of battery...some days even close to 30 hours...today,if I get 9 hours I am lucky...I do have to recharge my phone 2 or 3 times per day, to be able to use it as much as I need....A shameful situation my dear friends of Google / Android.
I can't believe how irresponsible Google has been to release a version of Android that has not been fully tested and approved for consumer use, with REAL benefits according to your specs ..or wishful intended specs of Lollipop.
Even worse, since Lollipop was released hundreds if not many thousands of Android users worldwide complained that Lollipop was not living up to the expectations we all had... this was in November 2014... A LONG period of 3 months have passed by and Google has not been responsible enough and decent enough to issue and release timely and quickly an update to Android to make Android 5.0.x Lollipop usable, stable and deserving of the name Android !
Today, I was trying to use my phone for several important activities, phone calls among them... emails, WhatsApp messages, some texting and so on.... guess what, it was a damn freaking pain to use it....to not have a single app, either Gmail, Google+, Facebook, WhatsApp...and others NOT crashing on me... making me lose valuable time and the work I have typed... a real pain in the back.
When, WHEN...are you,@Google, going to be attentive and responsive to all of us, users. who have given you the confidence and our hard earned Dollars to buy a Nexus device and provide us with a new release of Android that is stable, usable and that the battery is not wasted restarting apps and rebooting the phone to "fix" things up. By the way, not even an official statement of the overall Lollipop big mess that you have, that'd be decent and, of course welcome by all of your users.
We demand that this be fixed. Today, Lollipop Android 5.0.x really, really got to my nerves, it pissed me a LOT... and I am about to downgrade my phone to KitKat... that may not be the freaking "greatest" and latest version of Android, but at least it works, it gives me enough service time with one charge and doesn't crash.
While I downgrade and will keep on KitKat for the time being, dear Google and dear Android Development group, I will be waiting for a stable Android 5.1 or 5.2.... I truly hope you can do it right...but have my serious doubts.
Now, I was thinking in buying a Nexus 6... but guess what, it is nowhere to be found...always "out of stock"... well, after six, yes SIX generations of Nexus devices, haven't you learned something about stock levels ? demand of your Nexus phones?
How come you can't provide a constant reliable stock according to demand.
And, to make matters worse, even if I could find the Nexus 6 in some stores, even ones in my home country (Mexico), it now happens that the Nexus 6 has a defect that makes the battery bulge and the back cover gets deformed and pops-up open.... How come?
It is truly baffling and disappointing how Google doesn't really seems to care about Android, its customer service, its real responsibility to its users and ultimately the quality of their Nexus phones.
Google, we are waiting. It's your turn now.
I have installed and re-installed Android 5.0.x many times, both fully wiping partitions (user, system, dalvik cache, cache, etc. etc.) and without any data loss (just flashing it over the previous stuff or, a "flash-all.sh" without the "-w" parameter)... In both types of installations, Android 5.0.x behaves the same, DOES have memory leaks, does present problems with calls audio in certain platforms (Nexus 4 mostly) and does have a horrible battery life. This has been done in Nexus: 5, 4, 7 2013 3G, 7 2012 3G all of them present the already mentioned issues with Android 5.0.x Lollipop.
So, if Android 5.0.x was a stable operating system I wouldn''t have cared installing it WITH a full wipe of my data.... sadly, that is not the case.
