Feiga Shamis and her children survived at least half a dozen pogroms. But their luck ran out in the town of Shumsk. Shumsk lies in Volhynia, Ukraine, once known as the Russian Pale of Settlement. It was here that pogromists killed Feiga's 16-year-old son. Ukrainian guide Alex Dunai took Judy Favish and her daughter Tess Peacock to Shumsk in search of this boy's grave. What they found left them angry and disappointed.  To learn more about the film, please visit our website at www.feigaschoice.com.  Please consider becoming a member of Team Feiga -- our group of supporters helping us to complete this film with tax deductible donations.  Thank you!

Tess Peacock is Feiga Shamis's great granddaughter and accompanied her mother, Judy Favish, on a heritage trip to Poland and Ukraine to trace the story of Feiga's survival of the anti-Jewish massacres following WWI. Tess is a human rights attorney and is getting her master's in socio-economic rights at Harvard University. Tess believes Feiga's legacy is her commitment to ensuring no one suffers as Feiga and her family did during the anti-Jewish massacres in Eastern Europe following WWI. Completing this film will enable us to bring this story to a wide audience. +Jerusalem Post
An Egyptian journalist conducted an experiment in which he dressed up as a Jew and asked passersby on the streets of Cairo for directions to a nearby synagogue - with nearly serious consequences for his physical safety.

The Cairo-based Internet news site DOTMSR sent the journalist to the streets of Cairo dressed in overtly Hassidic garb - sidecurls, skullcap, beard, and a hat.

The “Jewish” journalist was then subjected to threats of violence, epithets, slurs, and shoving from hostile locals.
