We are shopping around for a new vacuum cleaner as we're pretty skilled at killing these things. I wonder if any of you are using those backpack-style vacuums. If so, any recommendations? We have a ridiculous number of stairs here and having something that convenient would make a difference.

Right now I'm looking at this: http://www.amazon.com/GV-Commercial-BackPack-Restaurant-Industrial/dp/B004OZ17XG/ref=pd_cp_hi_2#customerReviews

Thought you lot might like the new video we had done of the property by a local guy with a hexcopter: Featherbed Railroad Aerial Tour

So I saw the yogurt challenge. What do you serve for breakfast?

For example, this morning we're making a sausage and green chile casserole with eggs and cheese and all of that. On the side I'm baking beer bread and then we're serving pears and walnuts from our own trees and then making oven-baked donuts (heart shaped!) for dessert. Are you all doing hot breakfasts with meat every day, or just serving Continental?

We've been cited as one of the most unique hotels in the world. Imagine that!

Today's the day for poets
in case you didn't know it
so make a rhyme and show it
or maybe just igno' it.

It's also Senior Citizen day so we hope our more experienced Facebookers are getting doted upon. If you know a senior, did you know we now have gift certificates at the Featherbed Railroad that are good here and at over 4,000 other bed & breakfasts across the US? That's a great way to show your appreciation for the fact that their advice was right all along after all. Darn it.
