Ever had that Ah! Ah! Moment. When it hits you that you’ve wasted too much time trying to figure out where the money in hand customer is hiding?

I had that Ah! Ah! Moment today, when I read page 152 of Steven Pressfield’s book titled ‘the WAR of ART. Breaking Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles.’ He learned it from Robert McKee, and I’m so thankful he’s passed it along. For those who have not read his book, I highly recommend reading it.

Check out my post titled: Don’t sell out your Muse. Listen to it instead! And feel inspired. http://faybbolton.com/dont-sell-out-your-muse-listen-to-it-instead/

The first mistake of many authors, especially new authors, is assuming that a literary agent will like the query letter pitching their book. (Don’t submit a query letter until your manuscript is finished.) It’s important to remember that every agent’s genre guidelines are different. Make sure you read the literary agents acceptance rate through Writer’s Market or check out an agent’s website, tweets, & blog posts to get a sense of their style, taste before you query. http://faybbolton.com/book-publishing-mistakes-to-avoid/

Will You Share? Good Behavior...
Many parents, as well as teachers, praise children for their helpful actions, but children are more generous when they’re commended for being helpful people. When our character is praised, we internalize it, and it becomes part of our identity.

Character praise leaves a lasting imprint when identities in children are forming.

Let me explain – If you see a child doing something that shows good behavior, try saying, “You’re a good person because you helped Jimmy pick up his toy’s.” Instead of saying, “Thank you, Sam, for doing that.” Children become more social when they’re asked to be a good person, – they want to earn the identity. If you want a child to share a toy, instead of asking, “Will you share?” ask, “Will you Sam, be someone who shares?”

Did you know that the first waffle is said to have been the result of an accident?

It all happened in a kitchen in England during the thirteenth century.

How did it happen?

I’m sure you have realized by now that voters narrowly approved the nation’s first statewide ban on single-use plastic bags at most grocery stores. Regulating plastic bags helps eliminate the harmful impacts to oceans, rivers, lakes, forests and the wildlife that inhabit them. Reducing bag use can also relieve pressure on landfills.

Two or three trips to the grocery store, and we would end up with 15 or more plastic bags. It didn’t take long for that pile of plastic bags to get even higher and then what did we do; we throw them away in the trash. That became a huge problem, so the bill was passed by voters whereby plastic bags are no longer provided when we make a purchase in a store. We now either have to pay ten cents for each paper bag that we use, or we have to take our own bags to the store.

So, with it making more financial sense to take your own reusable grocery bag to the store, we decided to create for you a variety of Wafflehoffers designer grocery bags... Learn more...http://thewafflehoffers.com/reusable-shopping-bags-custom-design/

Create an incentive to encourage children to read based on the amount of time they spend reading or the number of pages that they read. After they have reached their goal, take them out for ice cream or some other form of a treat. Learn More...

Meet Mary Muffin, she's one of the new characters that appear in the second Wafflehoffers book. Maple's First Competition. Maple Wafflehoffer tries her best to uphold the family tradition of being the best waffle maker in the county when she enters the junior waffle-baking competition at the fair. At the beginning of the story, we see Maple as a little selfish and unsure of herself. But by the end, she shows us the meaning of being gracious and determined.
