This place is great. So much food and small shops to buy food related items. Fresh fruit and veggies. Spices everywhere! Candy! Ice cream! Delis and meats! There's something for everyone, unless you don't eat. Parking might be difficult and from what I can tell it's not one of those places where you "run in and grab something real quick". Mainly because of the parking and how packed it is. I'd recommend to make an afternoon out of going here, or if you're at the Grove it's a nice place to swing by.

One of my favorite places in Los Angeles. There's something for everyone here. If you're with a large group and can't decide on what type of food to eat, go here. Everyone can split up, get what they want, and meet back together. Our usually stopping place is the Coffee Corner. Great coffee (especially mocha's) and great employees.

Historic, interesting, educational, delicious. Lots of variety that includes too many gift shops and tourist shops. The vendors are friendly and helpful. Always giving samples and giving you the freshest they have. Affordable for being LA

Been twice now, most recently 3 weeks ago. One of those "must see" places that once you see it you've had enough (Yes, I did go 2x--time heals all wounds). Ok places to eat, mostly at counters or in food courts. They have a few markets for meat, etc. but I didn't see much buying going on. Mostly "snacky" type foor stands. The doggie treat store (home made stuff) is outrageously expensive (like $2 for one cookie). It's next to the Grove, so a trip to both is worthwhile.

This is about my third time at this place. When I am in the area I enjoy coming here. Even on hot days most of it is Shady and there tends to be a breeze going down the hallways. It is a relaxed atmosphere with many choices for food and interesting shopping. They even have a bakery for dogs here! I bet the locals come here for lunch all the time it is comfy.

I have often said that if given the chance to take someone to only one spot in Los Angeles, I would take them to the Original Farmers Market. The Farmers Market gives you a picture of classic LA through the food stalls, which vary from the delicious (Bob's Donuts) to the mediocre (Italian offerings) to the downright disappointing. You see restaurants like Dupar's that have operated for decades (with possibly the best pancakes anywhere), and you can have a beer for six bucks. And then in contrast, you can walk a few hundred feet to the Grove. Both make for a great afternoon of relaxing.

In my head this always seems like a good idea. But in reality it never ends up as good as it sounds. Alright there are tons of food choices, when it comes down to it, there are none. Everything is really busy. There is never a place to sit and everything is really really expensive.

It is sort of weird to call it a farm market when so many of the buildings are permanent structures. It is basically a nice organic grocery attached to dozens of food stalls. The smells are amazing. We didn't get a chance to sample all the food but we did get a little. The grocery is well priced. They have a lot of seating throughout and actual washrooms located in the North part of the venue. There is a wall with the history of the market that is a pretty good read.
