It's critical to have optimism during your recovery and to remind yourself that you can do it; focus on your goals and you'll get there. It's a long road but it's so worth it. #RecoveryIsPossible

Loneliness is one of the most common addiction relapse triggers and can often lead to anxiety, guilt, shame or even relapse. In early addiction recovery, it's important for you or your loved one to not ignore these feelings. If anything, it's time to re-evaluate what you can do to combat loneliness; whether it's going to see a therapist, talking to someone or practicing mindfulness, these are all great first steps.

June has become PTSD Awareness Month. This month is to help raise awareness of this disorder and the need for those who are silently suffering to seek treatment. Although, most people think of PTSD as something that affects military personnel, when in reality it also occurs in civilians who have experienced serious trauma.

If you know anyone who may be coping with PTSD or related symptoms, don't wait. Get help now. Many don't realize exactly how much you can help someone by just listening. #PTSDAwarenessMonth
