Paying for parking at Council’s four multi-deck car parks is now much easier thanks to the introduction of a pre-paid parking card. Ticket machines at the entrances/exits to Dutton Lane and Fisher Street car parks in Cabramatta, and Downey Lane and Nelson Street car parks in Fairfield, have been upgraded to manage the new system. Similar to an Opal Card, customers can apply credit to their account and the parking fee is deducted from their card at the gates to the car park. To apply email mail@fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au or call 9725 0755.

Youngsters at Fairfield Preschool became “mini firefighters” during a visit by local firefighters on Monday.
Fire and Rescue NSW personnel from Yennora Fire Station visited the preschool (thanks guys!) to teach the children important lessons about fire safety.
The biggest smiles were displayed though when it came time for the children to try out a fire hose and to sit in the big, red fire truck.
The children will get to meet police officers from Fairfield Local Area Command when they visit the preschool on Wednesday (5 July).
