See How Fast Google Can Index from Twitter

A number of us have suspected that Google is crawling more of Twitter these days than it has since it lost "firehose" access in 2011. This may be due to Twitter doing better SEO, Google stepping up its efforts, or some combination of the two.

So our IMEC Testing Group (http://moz.com/rand/imec-lab/) set up a carefully controlled test to see if a page as hidden from Google's bots as we could make it could get crawled and indexed by Google just by a link to it being tweeted.
