The Arrests at the Central Cafe, Part 2

31st January, 1913. On this day the assassin Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili disembarked from the Krakow train at Vienna's North Terminal station. Of dark complexion, he sported a large peasant's moustache and carried a very basic wooden suitcase.  Inside was a passport bearing the false name Stavros Papadopoulos, because "Agent Koba" was in fact on the official bloody business of the Central Committee of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party...the assassination of Emperor Franz Josef.

I only heard of 3-D printing after being assigned to write about the topic while working at a tech company. Once I did only a cursory bit of research did I wonder why isn't this developing technology a daily topic of national interest?

I don't have an answer to that question, but I suspect it has to do with too few journalists knowledgeable about technology or science.

The last Japanese soldier to surrender in World War II (29 years after it ended) was a Taiwanese aboriginal.

I heard this story at the time and it really intrigued me on several levels, I think in one sense its considered to be a stereotype of the Japanese WW2
