Just wanted to write a follow up for those that wonder how the Surgery is after some time... so it's been about 10 months and i still got my perfect vision. As much as I was worried about dryness of the eye- no issues there. Only thing that I will say is that I do feel that my depth perception is not as great at night when i go from bright environment to a dark environment- like stepping outside of the house. My eyes do take a little longer to adjust to reduced amount of light, however, I will not trade the convenience I have for anything. For those that are scared- i think this is worth going for.. sooner the better!

Everyone is super helpful and really friendly. They are quick to respond to calls and emails about any questions that you may have. The offices are nicely lit and clean and the staff is great. I felt like I was amply informed about every step of the process and there was always some smiling and guiding me along the way. The procedure itself was super fast and there was no pain or discomfort. As soon as I sat up from the chair I was seeing better than with corrective eyewear! The surgeon even called me later that night to check in on me personally. I highly recommend this establishment and their employees for eye treatment.

Excellent service! Professional and with expertise. I LOVE my results: 20-20 vision after 54 years of glasses!! Each of the personnel -- doctors, technicians, receptionists -- were extremely polite and patient . They are very personal ,kind, friendly and helpful at every step of the way. I appreciated the on-time appointments with no waiting. I HIGHLY recommend the Eye Doctors of Washington.

I had a cataract removal surgery, performed by Dr. Clinch. Both the pre- and post-operative care was extremely professional. Dr. Clinch and his staff are personable, very attentive, and they provided me with all the options available to me in an objective and agreeable manner. Their facilities are top-notch, and Dr. Clinch seems to have a wealth of practical experience that he shares with his patients. I have no second thoughts about recommending Dr. Clinch and Eye Doctors of Washington! I am truly enjoying my new vision - and I felt that I was in the hands of true experts that take great care about what they do.

THE ORIGINS OF LASIK

In the 1970s, a Russian ophthalmologist named Dr. Svyatoslav Fyodorov made a tremendous discovery while treating a young boy whose corneas had been lacerated by his broken eyeglasses - his myopia, or nearsightedness, was miraculously improved.

His subsequent development of radial keratotomy in the 1970s, which preceded modern day laser surgery, helped thousands of people with poor vision throw away their glasses.
