Looking at getting into paddling...... Explore Highland is here to help.

Every year we offer a number of "Come & Try" sessions to introduce local's to the fun of paddling. 2018 is no different and three dates are already set for those who are looking at hitting this Summer season running.

Three evenings in late March have now been set for canoeing, kayaking & standup paddling disciplines. Once these start to fill up, more sessions will then be added depending on demand.

Please feel free to forward or share with your friends & family.

See website for more info & to book.

Well folks, week 1 back in the office after the Festive Season holiday, I managed to respond to over 100 enquiries and already a large number have been converted into bookings for the season ahead. Now to tackle the remaining 90 odd emails in the inbox and await there replies too. (Current ration is 10 emails: 1 coffee)

The good thing though, the more bookings I take now the less admin that's required during the season :-)

If you are planning on coming paddling with Explore Highland this season, please please please don't leave it to the last minute to get in touch. Once the season kicks off I do struggle to keep up with responding to emails & enquiries as I'm already working 10hrs a day outdoors, seven days a week, without any office/admin/marketing work added into the mix.

River Spey Canoe Adventure 2018

Renowned as a UK classic canoe trip, and on the 'to do list' off all canoeists, the River Spey is just waiting to welcome you.

The Spey is a stunning part of Scotland whether you are on the river or discovering the lovely villages along the way. Plan time to pop into Boat of Garten, Grantown on Spey, Aberlour, Craigellachie, Fochabers and enjoy a celebratory coffee & cake at Scottish Dolphin Centre at Spey Bay.

You'll be at one with the river (not in it) by day four of your canoe adventure, and eager for the next rapid which is just around the corner.

Bring it on!

Explore Highland has two planned guided trips in 2018;

* 24-27 July 2018 (Kincraig to Spey Bay)
* 24-28 September 2018 (Laggan to Spey Bay)

Self-guided and bespoke options also available throughout the season.

Get in touch for more information or to book.

This wee glimpse (very quick edit - 1 min 18 sec) of a small section of last years paddling trips & adventures I ran.

Simply too many magic moments to choose from, and apologies if you are not included. You'll just have to come back this year for more!

Anyways, thanks to everyone who joined me on the water in 2017. Definitely an amazing year on the water.

Explore Summer Isles

No matter your sea kayaking skills, the Summer Isles is a fabulous safe Scottish location to develop your expedition skills.

Taking off to West coast Scotland with food, sea kayaks and a sense of adventure. Enjoy the clear waters, scenery & wildlife first hand from your sea kayak.

Learn what you need to take (or not), how to pack your sea kayak, plus paddling, landing & launching skills with a fully loaded kayak.

Sea kayak and explore new islands. You can even choose which island you'd like to wild camp on for the night. Yes, your own island has its benefits.

The 360 deg views are to die for. Just ensure you have spare camera batteries to capture the moment.

Whats more to wish for!
