I have been going here since it was Cardinal Fitness. The new Owners are doing a great job keeping the small town GYM feel. I always feel welcome and don't feel intimated when i walk in there. Great place for someone looking to get in shape. The new owners also added child care, and tanning to the gym at no cost which is great! Linda is very sweet and always greets my wife and I when we walk in. Great place! UPDATE: I actually left because my wife and I weren't happy any longer with the gym and we needed something a little bit better. We sort of had an issue with deleting our contract where we kept getting charge but finally got it all sorted out. Was a great gym.

I can not speak for the gym itself, this is more of a warning for those shopping around for a gym in the Dayton Region. The first (and only) time I walked in, I had reservations at the beginning when they wouldn't give me actual pricing plans for anything without giving me a 20-30 minute tour. Red flags right there. I was talking to someone name "Matt" by the way. Anyways, before I excused myself saying I didn't have time for a tour and I had to go, Matt asked for my phone number so they could "keep in contact with me and let me know about specials." I was hesitant, but rather stupidly, I agreed. For the next week I got at least a text a day, first asking when I am going to come back in, then offering all kinds of specials (that were basically just stock text messages advertisements sent out to I assume everyone on their list). I eventually sent a text back saying "enough with the text I'll let you know when I'm ready" I got a text back with some bs like "no problem, just letting you know about our deals." I had figured that would be the end of it until I decided to make my decision. Unfortunately, they sent me another text the next day with the same promotional crap. Very annoyed by this point, I sent Matt back a rather frank message saying if you text me again with one of these things, I will never sign up for your gym. I also asked for confirmation that he understood me this time in an effort to drive my point home since they obviously missed (or more likely ignored) my first message. Matt text me back calling me rude and he had no more interest in recruiting me to his gym. Funny thing was, he ended the text with some bs saying contact him if I'm still interested... I assume some type of stock text signature. The point of my story is that you should not give them your telephone number unless you are really certain you want to join up with them because they will bother you until you come down hard on them. They will give "special offers" via text in the manner you would expect from emails. Perhaps I'm old school, but from my point of view, that is completely unacceptable. Since this last texting round occurred today, I have no clue yet if they really will stop. If they don't stop, I'll update this review.

Have been with EveryBody Fitness only about 6 months and I can honestly say this club serves my purpose. I got instructions on how to use all the equipment. I got the personal one on one counseling and the staff takes the time to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly, from body position to breathing. The staff is so friendly and so helpful. The place is also extremely clean and the atmosphere is great. I come here to workout, not socialize and this fits my needs. I haven't tried the stand up tanning bed but the lay down one is perfect. I am excited for the classes to begin. Zumba and Kick Boxing are the two I want the most.

We did not want to get tied to a month to month contract so we paid for a year up front. This happened just before they became Everybody Fitness. There was a constant turnover in personnel, including our personal trainers. I could not wait for our year to be over. I just received a call from the people who handle the billing saying there was an issue with our account. Last month I noticed they were billing our bank account for a monthly membership. This was NEVER authorized. We never signed a contract for month to month or for over one year. We never signed an agreement with Everybody Fitness as far as that goes. They said they are going to keep calling me until I settle the account. Unbelievable. They are thieves.

When I first joined this gym I asked specifically what the cancellation process was because I've had issues in the past with gyms making it impossible to cancel. The owner told me that it wouldn't be a big deal to cancel and that there wouldn't be a cancellation fee. I went in to cancel the other day because I was recently employed at a yoga studio where Im attending all of the classes I want so I did not feel the need to keep my gym membership, and the same owner told me that I could not cancel at the gym, that I had to call a 1800 number and that the only way I could cancel was if I was dying or moving. So I walked out pretty pissed off. I called the 1800 number and they were just as rude. Basically making me jump through hoops to cancel. They told me that I would have to pay off the remainder of my membership to cancel. Which this is specifically what I had asked in the beginning..which she deceived me and told me there was no "fee" to cancel but failed to tell me that Id have to pay off the remainder of my membership. I am not happy with this gym or the people that run it. They are constantly texting about specials and putting fliers on peoples cars all around the neighborhood. They lie to their customers to get them to join and make it impossible to leave. I finally called my credit card company to stop payments so theyd leave me alone. Do not join this gym!

they will call you or text you on a regular basis but they will not let you know if there is a problem with your account. I was with this gym before it became everybodys fitness and had no problems but I will look for another place to work out

This is the cleanest gym I have ever been a member of. Plus it's never super busy like the other gyms in the area. I joined as a Cardinal Fitness member then signed the three-year contract when it officially switched to EveryBody Fitness. I figured for a few dollars more a month it would be worth it for the free tanning, classes, and unlimited guest privileges. Well, they have yet to start the construction for classes at the location I go to even though that was supposed to start in July. Also, working out helps with an illness that I have and when I go to the gym with a friend it helps me work out harder because I have someone pushing me and someone who won't let me give up or skip a day. So those guest privileges come in handy, right? WRONG. I've brought the same friend only three times and got scolded the last two times because apparently you aren't allowed to bring the same person. The whole purpose of guest privileges is only to get new members. Which makes sense in a way but don't be a shady business, be up-front and truthful with your dedicated members who sign a three-year contract that is nearly impossible to get out of. Despite how busy it can get, sometimes I wish I would have stayed at Fitworks. It's only $10 a month, no ridiculous contract, and they don't have any guest limitations.

Very clean and staff is very friendly. I see staff cleaning daily. Machines always work and are clean. Manager is very nice as well. The only complaint is that it is a pretty small gym and it can get quite packed during the lunch and after work hours. For the price it is worth every penny. I joined this gym in January and it got me weight lifting and enjoying working out again. I may be moving soon and will have to cancel my membership so we will see how that goes and see if I need to update this review.
