Software engineer, creator of MarkdownPad and Techerator
Introduction

I'm a software engineer in Minneapolis MN, with degrees in electrical engineering and computer science. I specialize in Windows and web-based software development.

I created MarkdownPad and Techerator, and dabble in some open-source projects.

I enjoy adventures, mischief, reading, watching movies, and being outside in the sun (preferably near water). I'm a nerd, a goofball, and an optimist. I have a terrible sense of direction. I like staying up late.

Finished reading The Pragmatic Programmer. All concepts already dear to my heart, but still learned much. Masterpiece. Will read again.

Amazing analysis of typography (and everything) in Moon, one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies.
Sam's patches are the exact opposite of those from the Apollo era – rectangular rather than round; corporate and branded rather than personal and decorative. Sam records a message for Lunar Industries central back on Earth. He's unable to speak to them live, due to an ongoing problem with the ...

Asimov's favorite story out of the hundreds he wrote, The Last Question. Excellent short story; better than most full novels.
The Last Question. By Isaac Asimov. Isaac Asimov was the most prolific science fiction author of all time. In fifty years he averaged a new magazine article, short story, or book every two weeks, and most of that on a manual typewriter. Asimov thought that The Last Question, first copyrighted in ...

Now might be a good time to ask yourself why you need a global variable in the first place.
