Very interesting round up from +Venchito Tampon asking experts if it is possible to link build your way out of a Penguin penalty.

From my own findings you certainly can. Had a few sites make a big Penguin recovery from the last update without removing any links and adding new more authority links.

Penguin is all about the ratios of good to bad - spammy vs good links. If you can tip the balance back in your favour then its possible to bring a site back without link removal and disavow.

Saying that I would still advise a clean up and disavowing of crappy links for Penguin hit sites to make the likelihood of recovery higher.

Gotta be getting your site speed in order or you risk getting slapped with a slow tag.

Bet that won't help your CTR from SERPs.

Looks like the Firefox switch to Yahoo as its default search engine is starting to have an impact on Google's search share.

Google is still way ahead of the rest and mobile figures were excluded from this study but interesting developments non the less. Still a way to go before anyone at Google starts panicking about BingHoo.
