This gets played on "Weekend Radio" occasionally.  Robert Conrad periodically plays it on NPR's Weekend Radio.

Very interesting Eva. Thanks for your feedback. I think more people over there hear it than those here in Australia. More staions there. NPR - National Public Radio. FM I would presume. Thanks again. Regards and enjoy. Laurie.

I love the matching picture of the Summer Queen as well.

It's a great series and a wonderful interpretation of the fable.

And so The Snow Queen also became a story about the need to seek equilibrium, in our own lives, with the natural world, even within the universe at large.
~ Joan D. Vinge

The picture below was done by artist Michael Whelan for Joan D. Vinge's Hugo-winning novel, The Snow Queen. The story inspired by Hans Christian Anderson fable of the same name, follows a young woman named Moon. Moon lives on Tiamat, a planet whose elliptical orbit brings it close to a black hole every 300 years shifting the climate from winter to summer during the Change.

These periods are ruled by Queens. During winter, the Winter Queen rules with her consort, but they are both sacrificed to make way for the Summer Queen during the Change. The current Winter Queen, the powerful Arienrhod, schemes to retain power after the change and emplants clones of herself among the Summer people. Moon is the only surviving clone, but may have ideas and powers of her own.

If you find yourself coming out against concepts like equality and tolerance then you need to realize that you have gone beyond the pale and need to rethink your life choices.

If there's anyone who could make light of a terrible Photoshop fail, it's Ellen DeGeneres. Our favorite selfie-coordinator reminded us just how ridiculous that Target swimsuit ad from last month was on her talk show Wednesday. You know, the one w...

Introduction
I'm getting a lot of teachers in my circles.  I'm not a professional teacher myself but I come from a family of teachers. My dad was a college Professor of Linguistics, German, and Translation. My mom taught English as a Second Language in the public schools.  My primary area of interest is Sociology of Religion and Social Change. And I'm a lifelong learner.
