"When it comes to religion and erotica, you could be forgiven for thinking that the two are mutually exclusive. When Christian clergy talk about sex it’s almost always to tell people what they shouldn’t be doing (almost everything) and when they shouldn’t be doing it (outside of marriage, with the lights on). But the caricature of repressed pilgrims masks the fact that for much of human history, and among non-monotheistic religions in particular, sexually explicit artwork was so common it was hum-drum."
Ancient Babylonian plaques are totally Not Safe For Temple, but they also reveal ancient enlightened views on doing it.

Syracuse artist Sam Van Aken is developing a tree that will bloom in pink, purple and red in the spring and bear 40 different fruits in the summer and fall. It's part art, part agricultural marvel.

In many metropolitan areas, urban foresters ensure flowering fruit trees don't bear fruit to keep it from being trampled into slippery sidewalk jelly. But a group of fruit fans in the San Francisco Bay Area is surreptitiously grafting fruit-bearing tree limbs onto those fruitless trees.

I'm one of those people who is anti-copyright because of how stupid copy rights have become.
Lawrence Lessig, the Net’s most celebrated lawyer, cites John Philip Sousa, celestial copyrights and the "ASCAP cartel" in his argument for reviving our creative culture.

What I have been doing with my hands lately.

This is made with a cedar branch, hemp twine and blue glass beads.  The picture really doesn't capture how three dimensional it is.

Story
Introduction
I'm getting a lot of teachers in my circles.  I'm not a professional teacher myself but I come from a family of teachers. My dad was a college Professor of Linguistics, German, and Translation. My mom taught English as a Second Language in the public schools.  My primary area of interest is Sociology of Religion and Social Change. And I'm a lifelong learner.

This is my favorite restaurant! If you want real Chinese food order off the Szechwan menu. The "Chinese" menu has all the standard fare for un-adventurous Americans, all the things you can get at any Chinese take out in America. And it is perfectly good American Chinese food but the Szechwan menu has the real stuff, like beef tripe, pork intestines, jelly fish, and frog. I've tried them all. The hot chili warnings are not kidding. I have been working my way through the Szechwan menu. Some of my favorites are: Fish Filet w. Special Tofu In Hot Pot (the best tofu I have ever had), Crispy Chicken w. House Special Sauce (what sweet and sour chicken should be), Beijing Duck, and the Scallion Pancake Rolled w. Beef (four little beef sandwiches). The only items on the Szechwan menu that have not impressed me are a some of the soups. I recommend the Sliced Fish w. Sour Cabbage Soup if you can take the heat, and the Angelica Lamb Soup if you can take the bitter angelica root. Try the bubble tea, it comes with Popping Boba, tapioca pearls, or fruit jelly. And you can get it as an ice slush.
