Hemera, Hebe, and the Moirae (or Fates) all have something to say about the coming week.

Hemera, the embodiment of day, represents rebirth. Her presence indicates that a transformation is at hand. This transformation may disorient and even frustrate us at times, as old values and old meanings become irrelevant. We have to look at the world with new eyes, and this can be difficult--kind of like facing the light of day after spending a few hours in a darkened movie theater. We are being reborn, and the process can be painful. But once our eyes adjust, and we see the world with our new eyes, we will find ourselves awakened, both physically and spiritually.

Hebe, the daughter of Zeus and Hera and the goddess of play, reminds us that, though this rebirth may be painful, and though it may require our focus and committment, we can't neglect the importance of play. We are doomed to fail in our transformation if we don't make time for fun. We can't always be serious and studious and devoted to work. Our bodies were made for pleasure, and it is pleasure that we must remember to seek, when appropriate.

The last component of this Tuesday's Tarot is the Fates. They have appeared to remind us that there may be times when things happen that seem to make no sense at all, and we will ask, "Why is this happening to me?" But the Fates ask us to rest assured that things happen for a reason. We must embrace the weird and the perplexing occurrences in our lives if we are to fulfill our destinies.
