My blog post on how to serve files with #nginx conditionally in the most efficient way. It explains pitfalls and problems of 'if'- and 'rewrite'-based solutions, and shows how to use 'map' and 'try_files' instead. In short: nginx is not Apache, it has better ways to do even mundane things.

The post includes an nginx configuration sample code, links to relevant documentation, and goes over all interesting pieces in details.

Finally ES9 details (the far reaches of Ecma/JavaScript standard) started to trickle down from a secretive TC39 committee. They did a great job defining/detailing equality concepts, and optional operands are time-savers. It's a very nice! (c) Borat

Even moderately successful open source projects have a news group, and an IRC channel. Finally Google collected news and IRC under one roof! The first step is done: integrating Freenode with Google+. Expect integrated one-click solutions for open source projects soon!

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Dallas. Pizza is invariably good, but I like more their pasta and risotto dishes. Pasta lovers should try Capelli d'Angelo alla MoMo, and, of course, their Tagliatelle di Cacao. Don't forget to order Zabaione for desert.
