"Two 30-something Jews sit in a restaurant, eating and bantering in sharp comedic bites. Their arguments are essentially Jewish, centering on Jewish tradition, identity, hypocrisy and contemporary cultural meaning. Oh, and they’re speaking #Yiddish ."

My latest piece, about that ring I (almost) always wear, and about #lifeafterloss. Plus, a giant picture of my face.
An inherited gold ring brings an emotional connection to two generations.

She's also hilarious and an incredibly kind and loyal friend. One of my favorite people in Los Angeles. And +Jocelyn Berger ain't too shabby either. (Can I get an "Amen," +Seth Cohen?)

My latest piece - and the first one on the subject of online dating in several years - in The Jewish Daily Forward's #valentinesday issue. Thanks to +Gal Beckerman for asking me to weigh in.
For Jewish singles, JDate holds the power to connect. But it can also make you feel there’s something wrong if you can’t click your way to love, writes Esther Kustanowitz.

My latest piece in Ha'aretz - about the tragic loss of #supermansam  Sommer and about the support system that grew around the blog posts written by Sam's parents as they struggled with his illness and eventually, grieved his loss.
When tragedy strikes, we often feel helpless. But the death of an 8 year old, son of two rabbis and bloggers, shows us the power and consolation of an online community.

For all of us who'd prefer to tone down Mother's Day this year, because of loss or other sensitive circumstance. My latest in the NY Jewish Week.

Lisa, as usual, being very smart and encouraging all of us to step outside our little worlds for more expansive professional development... If you're Jewish and planning to be at the Nonprofit Technology Conference (#14NTC) don't miss the Jewish events planned by +Lisa Colton +SchustermanFoun et al...
The professional Jewish community overflows with conferences. The pockets of time between major holidays are crammed with opportunities for learning, connection, case studies, best practices and keynote speeches. While they are worthwhile, informative, necessary and valuable, they are also an ...

My newest piece, for Modern Loss, about steps I had to take following the death of my mother and Gmail's repeated questions about whether I'd like to include her on emails. Yes, that happened.
When Gmail kept prompting me to email my mother, drastic action was necessary.
