When is the best time to brush your teeth?

The standard advice from dentists has long been to brush our teeth twice a day, regularly floss and use mouthwash. According to a study undertaken by researchers at the University College London, due to the absence of good research, advice on the best way to brush teeth is confusing and inconsistent. http://ind.pn/2dLs7Ad

People who experience frequent drops in blood pressure or dizziness when suddenly standing up are at increased risk of dementia, scientists say.

Writing in Plos Medicine they suggest that less blood reaches the brain during these moments, leading to brain cell damage over time.

Dementia experts say this is a "robust study" and "plausible explanation" that needs further investigation. http://bbc.in/2e8e8md

After falling down the stairs at home, Angela sustained a Tibia Plateau Fracture. She was unable to support herself and walk when she returned home. The ECL South East Reablement team and physiotherapy supported her to be mobile and active again. http://bit.ly/2e6ie3B

A new study provides strong evidence that certain brain training exercises can reduce the risk of #dementia The study involved nearly 3,000 healthy older people who were randomly assigned to take a five week classroom-based training that involved either improving their processing speed, improving their memory skills, or improving their reasoning skills, and followed over 10 years. http://ti.me/2adJqu9
