MEDIC PREPARATIONS
Army #medics prepare to perform initial medical screenings on troops returning from West Africa to Fort Hood, Texas, Jan. 7, 2015. The returning soldiers, assigned to the 36th Engineer Brigade, constructed treatment centers to help battle the #Ebola outbreak as they supported Operation United Assistance. The medics are assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division.

The country is travelling the last mile to #zerocases, but that last mile will be very long and difficult, and can only be reached when it has the capacity to find and isolate all cases, trace all contacts and bury all who die from Ebola safely. All viruses mutate or change. Even as #Ebola mutates, it would be very unusual for it to change how it is transmitted. Scientists don’t think #Ebola will change to become more easily spread. Learn why in this update from CDC: http://1.usa.gov/1BkKIu1.
