"If today you're gonna say, 'I'm gonna pick that and not this because this blends with my political, social, cultural, religious philosophies and that doesn't,' I don't know what kind of country that is, and I don't know what kind of future world that would create."

"If you gain 10 pounds this month, you don't say, 'Repeal gravity. I object to gravity.' No, you don't blame gravity. Where do you draw the line here?"
Science plays a role in nearly every aspect of our lives from the economy, to the environment, to global health. But it seems like these science-related issues are not a top priority for the men and women

This is a classic example of the religious right trying to make itself look righteous by claiming the exact opposite of reality is the truth. Am I the only person that has noticed that a huge percentage of these murder/suicide sprees happen IN THE BIBLE BELT? Do we now forget that  the Oklahoma City bombing was carried out by WHITE RIGHT WING CHRISTIANS? You think 911 erased that from our collective memory? The Columbine kids were mentally ill and had been put on drugs that weren't even tested on kids and are now not legal to give to kids! These kids also had access to some pretty powerful firearms as well. So let's add this all up, you have kids, in the bible belt, the most religious part of the united states, who are bipolar or that suffer from borderline personality disorder, and are on powerful drugs now illegal to give to children, who have access to weapons that they use to kill a bunch of their fellow students and themselves.  Gotta be Atheism right? This is just a gambit that the religious right uses to try to shovel away some of the shit that's piling up on it's own doorstep. Trouble is, it's their own shit, they are so full of it that they forget where they put it all!

Notice how O'Reilly picks two pundits to come on the show then listens quietly to the one he agrees with, and then constantly interrupts the one who he disagrees with. Also notice that of all the people he could have chosen he uses someone who is passive and won't put up much of a fight when he as much as tells her to shut up. As if to say, "you're not here to make your point sweetheart". This is very revealing of his attitude towards women. O'Reilly is just a blowhard puppet who won't say if he's conservative or liberal as if that's supposed to make him look impartial. David Letterman was right, he's a goon!

Scholars believe a copy of the Koran held in England may be even older than the Prophet Muhammad. Carbon dating of a fragment from a Koran stored at a Birmingham library suggests that the book was produced between 568 and 645 A.D., said scientists

+O8 ride just because they do it, doesn't make it right. Copying insane is like getting a personality virus.
