Erin Sharoni is the ultimate creative. An artist, DJ/producer, and television personality, she is currently the Deputy Editor of DJ Mag USA and Creative Strategist for biotech startup InsideTracker. She was a sports television host and anchor for CBS Sports, Jim Rome on Showtime,CNBC Sports Biz on NBC Sports Network. Erin made her debut in the sports broadcasting world in 2010 as the St. John’s basketball sideline reporter. She was a host on the television show Red Storm Report on SportsNet NewYork.
Erin’s unique background makes her a 21st Century Renaissance Woman: A trained visual artist who has been drawing, painting and sculpting since she first discovered the magic of a Crayola box at age 2, her artistic endeavors eventually grew to encompass many genres, including: music, writing, dance, acting, computer media and the life sciences. Her artwork has been shown at the renowned Sotheby’s gallery in New York City, as well as the National Arts Club. She was the recipient of multiple Scholastic Gold and Silver Medals for her art and creative writing.
At age 13, Erin played the clarinet on stage at Carnegie Hall. Her love for electronic dance music soon took over, a passion cultivated growing up in the New York City underground club scene amid the influence of house music legends Frankie Knuckles, Danny Tenaglia, Junior Vasquez and more. She quickly replaced her clarinet with turntables and crates of vinyl. In 1999 she bought her first set of Technics 1200s and began DJing. Born and raised in New York City, Erin’s passion for sports runs deep as an outspoken fan and an avid athlete.A staunch advocate for civil rights and equality, she is an Advisory Board member of Athlete Ally. She is a former U.S. Junior Olympic-certified swim coach, personal trainer, dancer and fitness competitor, and is an AANC Certified Nutritional Consultant. She also practices the Japanese healing art of Reiki, and is Level 2 Reiki certified. Erin surfs and snowboards to keep things exciting.
In 2010, Erin was selected as a model to appear in a national advertising campaign for FILA athletic apparel, and was featured in online, print, and in-store ads for FILA Body Toning System, and online for FILA Yoga and Personal Performance apparel lines. Her ads have appeared in Shape, Fitness, Life & Style, OK!, Star, and in Dick’s Sporting Goods and Lady Footlocker stores, nationwide.
Erin was a 2012 Brand Ambassador for FILA.
She recently completed her first supporting actress role in the independent film short “Hollywood Jack”. Erin’s first feature film role was in “Peace After Marriage”, which won Best Narrative at Tribeca: All Access (Tribeca Film Festival) in 2010.
Erin worked in Finance for 6 years at two top investment banks and a leading hedge fund before making the transition from Wall Street to a full-time career in sports broadcasting & TV hosting, acting and modeling.
She was recently accepted to Stanford University’s professional certification program in Genetics & Genomics. Erin holds a B.A. with Honors in Studio Art & Digital Media from Wesleyan University.
