If the idea of curating stirs up any interest at all for you, drop the $0.99 cents it takes to get Joel's book for the next few days and dig in. Interesting, entertaining, and thoroughly useful -- and possibly even the start of a mindset shift. Joel clearly knows his stuff and wants to help you know yours, too.
I'm darn proud of the major updates to the new version of Experience Curating. And I'm humbled by the response to the $0.99 digital copy promo I'm running on Amazon right now.

That, and I'm grateful to all the fantastic folks who helped make this book worth writing. Yep ... I'm looking at you +Erin Kurup, +Robin Good, +Roderick Russell, +Betsy Talbot, +Joshua Becker, +Shanna Mann, +Julie van de Zande, +Amit Amin, +Maria Popova, +Digital Curation Centre (DCC), +Arianna Huffington, +Keith Ferrazzi and +Scott Dinsmore.

Ha! Just one more reason not to go 100% digital with your library. (And one more justification for my overflowing shelves... :)

I've never really thought about gift-giving through the lens of HSP-ness. +Patricia Lawless's point about comfort being king? That's SO me, though I hadn't named it until I read this post.

Also, the last idea on the list? That's going to be my gift to myself. (If you identify as an HSP, you might want to join me :)

Fascinating conversation between +Joel Zaslofsky and +Mark Sisson about the intersection of simple living and primal lifestyle. And no, you don't have to be into either to benefit from the ideas they toss around!

I'm definitely an HSP. Are you? Here's a concise, informative primer to help you decide (and figure out what that means for you).
Understanding your sensitivity is key in designing a life in which you can thrive. http://bit.ly/12dLIRT  #hsp

How many angles do you try to incorporate as you write a blog post or e-letter?

Every perspective you're juggling as you write adds a helping of pressure and makes it harder to sound like yourself. What if, instead of trying to write for all those different perspectives, you wrote your first draft like nobody was reading?

I wish The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury had been a win for me, but there just wasn't enough of a thread tying the stories together.

How do you feel about short stories? Yea, nay, or it depends?

I'm quite drawn to +Patricia Lawless's perspective on introversion, leadership , and inner presence. Hers is a voice that the ongoing conversation about introverts needs.

I'll be at this free webinar (as long as my couch gets delivered on time!). Will I see you there?
Join me Thursday, Oct 9 for a free webinar where I'll be taking a deeper dive into the 5 Steps to Cultivate Inner Presence. (Which is another way of saying finding your grounded, centered self... even when the world is overwhelming and chaotic). http://bit.ly/1trUuBN

What's the difference between a (copy)editor and a copywriter...and when should you use each? Here's my take. Questions? Let me know!
