It is with a very heavy heart that I share the news of the death of a great doctor and human being; Dr Charles Majors. Dr Ben Lerner, a fellow holistic doctor, had this to say about Dr Majors on his Facebook page today. May his memory live on as Dr Majors was such a fighter. He fought for MANY years and we were hoping he'd beat the odds and win the battle. It looks like heaven just gained an angel. XO Erin Elizabeth https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Sadly, TV icon Alan Thicke has died ... We're told he had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center around noon today, and pronounced dead there. Law enforcement sources tell us ... a company that recovers organs was contacted, so some of Thicke's organs could be donated. He's survived by his 3 sons -- Robin, Brennan and Carter ... and his wife, Tanya...

Dr Laura Skellchock, a holistic MD based right here on the East Coast of Florida, has died. We know very little details at this time. Her site was called Integrative Dermatology and she has done a number of videos and articles about integrative practices, natural health and nutrition. Like most of the self described integrative or holistic MDs who died, Dr. Skellchock also did procedures that were not 100% natural, mostly cosmetic. I've had sev...

Got milk? Twenty-five bipartisan members of Congress say if it's from soybeans, almond or rice, it should not be labeled as milk. Democratic Vermont Rep. Peter Welch and Republican Idaho Rep. Mike Simpson, leading the charge against "fake milk," signed a letter along with other Congressional members, asking the U.S. FDA (Food and THUG administration) to investigate and take action against manufacturers of "milk" that doesn't come from cows. They ...

Moldy room (I have pics) dirty ashtrays outside the door, dirty koi pond that was being cleaned most of the time I was there. Rude manager who knocked on the door because I sent an email and there are other reviews about bed bugs on rci and other sites (we called about those but figured if they moved us from a 2 bedroom to a tiny studio in close proximity it wouldn't be any different. See the unrecommended review on this page that talks about their bad bed bug experience in great detail. Read about the shooting of the front desk man back several yrs ago and remembered why the name of the place sounded so familiar. Never again. Worst place I've ever stayed. I've given other nearby places 4 or 5 stars but this one would get a zero if I could...

I had given them five stars but had such horrible experiences on my last 3 or 4 visits that I will absolutely never go back again. I had stepped on a sand spur and went in to have it cut out. Dr Ferrar worked on it but didn't want to cut very much. She told me to come back in a couple of weeks, (I pay 75 copay for each time i go at a minimum) So I came back in bout 2 weeks and she cut some more and then said come back in 2 MORE weeks (still i have trouble walking and sand spur is OBViously in there. On ALL visits she was interrupted by her incompetent staff who came in and couldn't write a prescription and she had to take her gloves off, write the script and then start over on my foot. so it took extra long. But she said come back again. so then the foot was getting worse (Spur SO still in there) so I called and they said come in but thought i was someone else and asked if i was her - i said no, (they had so many lines going) but they said come in anyway. I came in and they worked on me a THIRD time but this time I looked down and saw she didn't appear to be even scraping where the burr was obviously lodged! I said "no it's not there - see the red spot it's here!" (i asked they not numb as much so I could feel what was going on) so then she scraped there before getting interrupted again by another incompetent worker coming in WHILE she's trying to work on my foot. So I hobbled out of there now paying 75 x 3 plus however many hundreds my insurance paid for NOTHING. I walked into my regular primary care doctor who couldn't believe what i'd been through and for 35 bucks and 10 minutes he had it cut out there and i never had a problem with that again! So fast forward a month later I ran into a broken hinge on a door and broke that same foot. We wanted to get the Xrays and info they had on my foot in order to get approval from my health insurance for an MRI (To show it was broken) So East Coast Podiatry (Even though they KNEW i had a possible broken foot (it was broken 4th metatarsal) said they had thirty LONG days to fax the info over to the imaging center and i said yes, but it's CHRISTMAS (think it was Christmas eve) and please couldn't they just fax it so i can get my MRI as i'm probably walking on a broken foot (they said NO!) and DOnna the extremely rude office manager refused to send it over that day. The imaging center was surprised how difficult East Podiatry was and their refusal to cooperate. YES they could take a month but they were holding up an emergency situation at Christmas time. Turns out because of their refusal to comply I couldn't get the MRI until AFTER CHristmas and had to wait days walking on a BROKEN foot. I even had my other doctor (Dr Mercola) call as I thought he might have some clout as he's well known doc on tv etc. He asked for Dr Don Johnson who also works there and left his number with them (I witnessed the call myself) and they said Dr Johnson would call him back before the end of day. He said he NEVER received a call back from him. So finally my primary care office got wind of what was happening and hinted this place had a HISTORY of this and called and demanded that info and somehow got it in 5 minutes. (Not sure what she said but she was mad when she called and boom, she got it) Finally on New Year's EVE (days after I should have gotten it) i got my MRI and found out i had a broken foot. I got a terrible flu and bronchitis too from the stress and don't think East Coast Podiatry helped at all. I even WROTE the office explaining what happened and what I'd been through but never heard back or got an apology. I am a journalist and have a strong subscriber- ship of many thousands and am still thinking of writing a piece about this being up there with the worst health care experience ever (it definitely makes my top 2 :)

Well if I'd seen their Daytona Location (where they send everything anyway- this is only a drop off) has a 1 star average (out of 5) I'd have never gone here in the first place! I went here almost SIX months ago to have a dress dry cleaned. The belt broke off in the dry cleaning but they still charged me for the dress (and separately for the belt- they tell me this is normal?) So then I said I needed it fixed (altered) since belt loops were broken in process. They said it would be ready in a week. I called in a week and she said "not done yet" I called in 2 weeks same answer. I called a week or two later no answer. Finally months are going by and i DEMANDED to find out what was going on (I still had my pink ticket) They tell me that this woman is gone from the company and it's not their fault (well it was THEIR employee so how isn't it their fault?) They said they'd call me within a week. NO call. I call back no call back. But I had the cell of the manger. I CC'd her a copy of my twitter account with over 12,000 followers (Many local) and said I was going to tweet about my experience. within a few HOURS they find the dress! wow what a coincidence! I go in to pay and they said there'd be a discount. But it was 10% and they said better to save for my next "big order" so gave me NO discount and i still had to pay! at this point we are talking almost SIX MONTHS! Obviously I will never be back. there are tons of dry cleaners on Granada and in ORmond and daytona beach. I highly recommend one of them over this place. (just try and find one that is green eco) I'm currently searching out a new one and will never go back

First time I ever get a prescription here I ordered some compounded b12 they send me someone else's meds with their private information address, phone number (and obviously giving away their medical information because of the drugs they're on (not hard to figure that out) and these were dangerous schedule C drugs (to the best of my recollection) and glad I didn't have some teen or someone open them and overdose. So then second time I order very important meds for my dying late teens cat (not me) they send half the order (never refunded me as i paid for full order) Third time I order I get prednisone for a dying kitty (have to order it sooner than i thought as they never sent full dose the second time and THIS time they send a compounded REFRIGERATED drug regular mail and say ya, they sent it regular mail and will send me out a new batch. I ask for partial refund or at least an apology. The rude HORRID bedside manner of a pharmacist "Phil" tells me maybe instead of an apology that MAYBE i just ought to take my business somewhere else. My partner Dr. Mercola and I are weighing our options whether we report him to the state pharmacy board as this is disgusting. We'll decide what to do shortly. I do NOT recommend this place. Ever.

First they charged me hundreds of dollars too much. Not one hundred, HUNDREDS! I called for months and they were rude sounding women who refused to fix it. Finally I went in and saw Meg for an appointment and told her and low and behold I was due HUNDREDS in a refund (and I have insurance!) Also every time I go Meg's big assistant reminds me of how I might be treated in prison (thankfully never been arrested) but if I had I'd imagine the scary big guards would treat me better than she does. I've talked to others (one a medical professional who no longer goes there) who agree with me. Also their Granada office is downright scary and the confusion of having two offices down the street from one another has led me three TIMES to not getting the treatment I came in for! And then when I did get a treatment (but really not what I wanted) I was charged 750 DOLLARS and knew that was wrong. I'll never go back there again and oh, in all the years I've NEVER met the actual doctors but plan to write them a long letter similar to this review letting them know what I think of their awful place. I wish I'd stopped going sooner but both locations are close to me (medical prof and I agree weird they have 2 down the street from each other) and my insurance covers them but NEVER again. Please stay away!

She was nice enough but I went in to get my eyes dilated and get a prescription. They didn't do EITHER the first visit. Made me come back a second time and didn't do either then! They said I had to come back again and instead just tested for dry eye. I said that I called specifically BOTH times for these 2 things. I didn't bother to go back a third. I was disgusted. I live between Chicago and Florida. I just went to an ophthalmologist here in Florida and within an hour they A) checked for dry eye B) checked my scrip for computer AND regular glasses AND C) dilated my eyes and did full exam! I couldn't get 2 out of 3 of these at her office in 2 visits while this much busier place did them all 3 in an hour. I'll not be back to see her again. The Florida doc? He's awesome and I'll be back there for sure!

I get severe vertigo and my better half Dr. Mercola and I had just flown in from Chicago and I called in explaining I had severe vertigo. They have THREE doctors but couldn't bother to squeeze me in that day. I believe it was a Friday to boot. I have not been back since. I also don't like they only do activator technique and refuse to do any manual more traditional adjustments. In our opinion solely using an activator is not sufficient. Especially for me and other patients I know.
