What do you do when your industry first loses an icon and then disappoints?

After a weekend of people wishing me harm for daring to share what I think and feel -- why do I bother?
So, there were 6 people who threatened to kill me this weekend. About 8 who wished my loved ones harm. And looks to be about 15 who told me to fuck myself.

Join me in wishing the man I've fallen madly "in weird" with a very happy 47th birthday :)
Happy birthday, Clark Kent -- from the gal who digs your brand of weird.

Feeling a bit fucked up? Here's why.
A very long list of all the reasons your life is fucked up, built by a woman who's fucked up her life more ways than she can count.

It's high time your website became your company's hardest working employee. Odd are that right now, it's the laziest.

The last Hard Truth of 2015 -- on being angry, getting un-angry, and why I have no interest in being the "fuck" girl anymore.

Happy New Year.
The tireless pursuit of normal and on no longer being the 'fuck" girl.

Hi Erica darling babes! How are you?

Like you say above stop living as if everything has to be done today and instead, focus on what you can do that matters today.

I matter today for you.

Ever felt like this?
There's something to be said for telling your process to sit the fuck down for a hot minute so you can step inside someone else's process and actually learn

How much effort are you putting into cleaning up your (inevitably) messy life?
A little bit about being a grown ass adult and why you're wasting your time trying to clean things up.

When you're building a creative business, there's pressure to conform to make the cut. Here are lessons from a thriving clothing designer on how to find your way (and name) in a crowded, competitive space.

Introduction

Erika Napoletano is a snarky speaker, strategist, author, and columnist, hailed by Forbes as a “spinless spin doctor” for her BS-free perspectives on business, marketing, branding, and life in general. She's a twice-published author, including The Power of Unpopular (Wiley 2012), a columnist for both Entrepreneur Magazine and American Express OPEN Forum, an acclaimed speaker from TEDx Boulder2012, and speaks at conferences across the U.S. on the inherent power of truth in business… or as she refers to it, the power of unpopularity. She lives in Boulder, Colorado and is the Head Redhead at RHW Media, a brand strategy firm that helps businesses get UNstuck and over those annoying problems that keep them from being awesome. Learn more about her at www.erikanapoletano.com

You can connect with her online on TwitterFacebook and LinkedIn. (She closed her MySpace account when she found out that no one really wanted to pay her $5,000 a night to "party.")
